Even if we were to take a D-lineman, it's all but certain to be an edge rusher.

Unless they sign on in FA. Or if Tank / Lynch emerges as the guy.

Fantasy football.

This. We will be lucky if Tank can emerge as a Roderick Green type let alone be a starting caliber DE/elephant.

Lynch was a great pass rusher a couple of seasons ago. I don't think it's beyond comprehension to think he could get in shape & do it again. I'm not counting on it, though.

This'll be Tank's first time playing 4-3 RDE since college, so I'm interested to see how he does there...

Another guy who I was overjoyed to get based on how he played in college.

Without a doubt was misused by Fangio and predecessors.

I hope this last move works out but won't hold my breath.

Like most nt's Earl Mitchell will only see the field 30-40% of plays. That's why you can develop a DJ Jones. It's a passing league and we got 2 beastly interior rushers. To take a 4th one would be stupid I don't care if he is Suh. If we spend a 1st on the line it has to be a Von Miller.

This...if we actually go defense in the first it's gonna be a edge rusher. People's heads would explode in here if we drafted another interior DL lol.

Von Miller isn't in this draft. There's nobody even close to that. The time to get a LEO was in the '17 draft, and Lynch blew it.

Arden Key could be special, but I seriously doubt he's gonna be one of those rare players like Von. We'll see...

Either way, Wilkins is not just a run stuffer. He collapses the pocket too, and that's a pain in the a** for offensive coordinators.

There isn't a Von Miller but once in a decade man. Myles Garrett is all hype at this point. Could he be just as good or better than Miller? Maybe. But ain't nothing given.

Lynch failed? What was he supposed to do? Trade up to get Garrett and give away future picks? For a defensive piece? Come on.

There is zero chance we draft another defensive lineman with our first pick next year. Zero. Not gonna happen.
Look at Christian Wilkins beat Jonathan McLaughlin, a very good tackle, around the corner on this play (rushing from LDE). Keep in mind, the dude's 310 pounds; they even line him up at LB sometimes:

Watch him just shove Ohio State RT Isaiah Prince out of the way on this play (rushing from LDE):

And look how good his hand usage & upper-body strength is (not to mention agility):

I've also seen the guy bat down like 6 passes. I don't know how many he has, but in what I've seen from him, it happens a lot.

Dude also wears Ronnie Lott's number. He's gonna be the starting strong safety for the Niners.

He's also got a nasty spin move:

Are you serious?

Yea. I remember seeing his teammate try to defend it. "You ain't a good football player if you don't do that!!!" Or something. f**kin weird. I don't usually see players on the field dig their hands in another mans nuts but who knows.

What does this have to do with whether it's a god idea to draft him or not?

Don't want a guy on the team that thinks it's a good idea to grab another players junk during a game.

Do you gave any clue how common that is in the game of football? Linemen especially do all kinds of nasty s**t to players when they're on the ground / in a pile. That's been the case my entire life. He's a dirty player who didn't think that move would be seen, but so were tons of other pro-bowl-caliber linemen in the past.

I mean... people are ok with Reuben Foster, but something like this is a deal breaker?

Is it common that linemen grab other guys balls in the NFL? I never see it at all.

That was a different time. But I was going to edit my post and clarify. If he was a Suh type of beast, then the on the field bs would be worth it.
He is a Suh type of beast tho. Not saying he's the exact style of player, but in terms of impact he is dominant whether playing inside or out. Now unlike Suh I will admit he has been surrounded by other beastly front four talent, so it's a team effort at Clemson.

s**t if he is on Suhs level then I take it back. Suh is a total game changer. We'd have one of the craziest lines ever, and one angry fan base haha.

Christian Wilkins - DL - Tigers

While naming Clemson junior DT Christian Wilkins a "riser" after his week-two performance against Auburn on Saturday, NFL Draft Analyst Tony Pauline noted that some scouts view Wilkins as the "top draft prospect in the nation."
Wilkins (6'3/310) was dominant in the victory over Auburn, posting ten tackles, two sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss. Pauline said that he looked "explosive, athletic and made a lot of plays in the victory." He also noted that Wilkins "looked winded on occasion, but that was a result of the non-stop motor he displayed." With his strength and speed -- he posted a 4.80 forty time this spring -- it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Clemson star go high come April.

...But he grabbed some RB's junk during a game, so WZ doesn't want.

Remember you guys said the ball-grab was enough to not want him when he's being inducted into the HOF.

Look at how the Giants drafted for their 4-3, I would not say zero
