Grade John Lynch's first Draft Day

Thomas - B - He's okay, but I still don't know where hes lining up. Its going to be hard getting him, Armstead, and Buckner on the field at the same time. Armstead is in hot water and should be unloaded next year.

Foster - A - I didn't like him in the top 10, but for where we got him and how much we gave up. Awesome, love it. Even if he gets suspended from weed (hopefully not), we got a 1st round talent.

So overall, A-

And we didn't draft any 4th round talent into the 1st round making all the analyst laugh and fans scratching our heads.

I wonder who the third choice was. Or maybe he is still available?
Be interesting to see what espn , kizer, mcshay say manana. I bet they give Lynch a bouquet of roses. Hard to believe his virgin draft, stole 3 players, still got one of the two top players in the draft, an IMPACT player, no less, and then comes back and snakes Foster from SEA? Did they even know...or they didn't trust him. Maybe the latter. Still....what a unique, fantastic draft by a first timer. Damn , baalke who?

That was the hard part. Now it gets harder but we got double 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s. Could we be better situated? Ok, we gotta start burning some of that to get back into rd 2. Now it gets harder, trying to figure out how to burn up those excessive picks without taking a baalkian 13 players. It gets harder when the players are worth so much less on the draft calc, but every rd, while your value of each pick drops, the value of the players available drops correspondingly. So with doubles across rds 3-7, uhh...missing pick 111....we should be able to wheel and deal. After today, tho, other GMs are going to be careful around John. Damn was he ever a great choice by the headhunting group the yorks put together. Chose himself, basically. Plus kyle...I'm thinking of watching a lot more games this yr and not just listening on radio because i couldn't stand the video portion.

Is OK, but certainly not great so far.

The 1st trade was great, not sure whether we needed the 2nd trade.

Reuben Foster was of course a great pick who should have gone a lot earlier if he didn't have any off field issues like being kicked out from the combine and giving a diluted sample.

But, Solomon Thomas though was just a bad pick. The guy is way over-valued, a tweener, too small to be a DT and too slow to be an EDGE.

Also, it showed they had no plan nor allowance given to the offense when the pass game is already bad (to put it mildly) by default given we only have a journeyman bridge QB and a bunch of average receivers.

Since we neither went after a top QB nor a top WR, the answer should have been to massively fortify the run game to carry the offense whereby Fournette would have been the perfect pick especially after the fantastic trade with the Bears. But, instead they pulled the trigger on the wrong guy which was very disappointing.

I won't go extreme to give a F, but I will be fair and call it a C.
