Hopefully dudes shoulder is solid. If so, today looks good.

f**king crushed it. I'm stoked
Great pick - worried about shoulder
Yup, that and the character stuff is cause for concern, but the talent was too much to pass up at that point.
He was probably so high up on our board compared to the next guy that we needed to do it.

Now we just need a solid corner to fall to us in the 3rd.

Even though I am not high on Foster due to off the field issues (I yanked him off my board), there is no denying the talent on the field. He would have been a top 5 for me this year.
One big difference between Lynch and Baalke so far is that Lynch is drafting starters. Both guys step in right away as starters. I felt Baalke was drafting for depth with first and second day picks way too much.

Exactly. Love, love, love the move up to get him. That defense is now coming together nicely, at least on paper. We improved tremendously with Thomas and Foster imo.

49ers aren't sitting on the sidelines in the 2nd round. I don't buy that!!!

When I got off the phone with Reuben Foster after telling me about his drug test, he called John Lynch. SF spent 7 hours with him recently

Maybe they thought even if his shoulder requires surgery we can afford him to miss the time. Plus Bowman is a GREAT vet to have for him. I like the odds.

Now take a DB in round 3 and go heavy on offense

Good points. We needed to come away with sure-fire starters early in the draft and Lynch did just that. No projections or guys who didn't have a clear fit in the defense. Thomas and Foster will plug right in.
