we aint taken scumbag who hits woman

If is safety, I am going with Adams who falls within the 9ers' new mantra of going for players with extreme physicality. Plus, the guy is a great leader on the field.

On top of that, I will not shoot down Foster, again due to his extreme physicality.

Adams doesn't really fit unless we've already given up on Tartt/Reid at Strong Safety. And if we're going to go SS, then I'd rather have Peppers in the second.
Pretty awful if all we get is a 2nd round pick to move from 2 to 6.

No way we take Mixon. If we do, John Lynch should be fired immediately. John is not that stupid.

U look weak because u give that other team tha leverage... Ur calling them u lose the power of negotiation..If a team is calling u to trade up u have tha power/leverage if ur tha team calling them to trade down no power no leverage =weak ...just how I see it...

Except you never had leverage in the first place because nobody was calling you.

Then u stay strong make tha pick dont trade but by no means do u call anyone to trade down...again just how I see it...

This ain't asking out a girl lol... and the trade worked, maybe the Jets didn't call cause they were afraid we want too much and can get him at #6, but we called and it was an offer the decided to pursue lol. The end.

How did they not take Thomas over Hooker? We were horrible up front and a pass rush makes an average secondary look good. Love the trade we made but they just said Thomas was head and shoulders above Hooker and Adams yet still left him on the board.

Maybe they just think that's what we'll do. I saw it when it first aired, don't care to re-watch and remember lol.
5 guys - Solomon Thomas, Malik Hooker, Reuben Foster, Marshon Lattimore, and Jamal Adams. If "we really like them all" and at 6, only 1 of them is gone... Do we phone 7-9 to see if they want to move up? maybe steal another pick..?

Personally, I'm fine with Hooker or Thomas, I go back and forth everyday.
I just think their logic in who they were really considering in the beginning was off or they were just scared to pick at 2..?

This was pretty cool though, does ESPN always do this?

That's what Im saying. Not even a counter offer ? Cmon now
lol kind of stupid simulation but if it went down like this and we still had a chance at Solomon Thomas or Malik Hooker at #6 while picking up a high 2nd rounder...hell yeah!

This. Give me Thomas, Hooker, Adams, Lattimore, or Fournette and a high 2nd round pick over any of those guys at 2 assuming Garrett is gone. I'd be fine taking Trubisky at 6 and picking up that 2nd round pick too.

It's a bad trade for the Jets though considering they could get one of those guys (likely Trubisky) without giving up a 2nd round pick. The Panthers giving up a 2nd round pick to move up from 8 is more likely because there's a little more separation between guys available at 2 and 8.

I'd certainly take Thomas over Hooker but I can see the argument the other way. I just hope if we're having a similar discussion in our front office the deciding factor won't be John Lynch saying "well I played safety so I'm leaning that way"

I think John is more rational than that and if he prefers Hooker it would have nothing to do with his playing days.

Yeah I think everyone will stand pat in the top 5 and call the other teams' bluff but in theory if the Jets really like Trubisky they could move up in case we trade down with another QB needy team or Chicago drafts him despite signing Glennon(let's be honest he's no answer at QB)

If all you have to give up to get your franchise QB is a 2nd round pick that's pretty good.
This was pretty cool!

The great Bill Polian loves him some Thomas like that. This would be ideal for us.
