Ahkello Witherspoon CB 6'3 198 Lbs Colorado

Upon looking at his film, he makes some good plays and other times the receiver is dropping the ball or ran his route wrong.

I don't think he's a first round talent, but might be worth a look in the 3rd or trade back in to the late 2nd round.

He reminds me of Stanley Jean-Baptiste coming out of Nebraska in 2014 ( drafted in the 2nd rd by the saints ).

That's an insult to Witherspoon tbh

He's projected to be there at our third round pick. That's where I'd like to see him get drafted. Not sooner.

A better tall CB is Kevin King. If he gets by the Seahawks in latter RD 1, he would be there at #34.

Seahawks probably have their eye on this guy already while waiting for a trading partner for Sherman.

Probably right

IMO, their asking price in a trade will be super high and I don't think it will happen.
Who's the better corner from Colorado in your opinion? I see stuff saying Awuzie should play slot, but the tape says he can do whatever.. Ahkello's height is great, and he would be an animal if he could fill out that frame... I'd love either in red and gold tbh

Kinda dumb they went captain obvious open with Sherman trade talks... like, you're yelling to the league hey we see his replacement in the draft lol. They're probably eyeing this guy with their second, would y'all be mad if we traded down in the second and took this guy?

Not at all. I think he can definitely help us win games and shut down one side of the field. So why not. But he's a sleeper and I think hell be there in the late 2nd or high 3rd. Either way I just want him in the red and gold uniform before the season starts.

I made a thread about trading down in second, picking up a third and still landing yourmguy before another team grabs him.

I have Witherspoon graded higher. Both second round value to me.
What kind of speed does this kid have? He seems to use the trail, dive and swat the ball at the last second a lot. It works well in college where the QB's aren't putting the ball out in front of the receiver so he better have some good speed to stick on the receivers hip.

Believe it was 4.45 at combine

And over a 40" vert. So good luck throwning over the top!

Lol cause SJB got cut after his rookie year right? Yeah he never panned out lol. But he was a prospect that a lot of niner fans here liked, mostly because we wanted a big cb like sherman.
