Can't really be taken for a bad trade, you get the best offer you can and go with it. With Lynch, Mayhew, Peters and Shanahan I don't see anyone putting one over on the 49ers. They'll do fine. People just need to keep their expectations realistic. The 49ers won't be getting back Eagles or Rams style compensation, that only happens when there are truly elite QB prospects, none of the guys this year qualify.

Not so sure about that.. It could just be chatter but that's a lot of teams. If Cleve is really willing to part with their high picks that would be our winner.
No to the Bears. I want something more than a bottle of soda.
Schefter confirmed Garrett #1.

Time to look at all trade options!

Yes

They might get mad, but we have to seriously consider it.

As long as we don't let Vlade Divac make a guest appearance in our war room to execute a trade, we should be ok.

true but people might bite on trubisky if theyre desperate enough

Don't see anyone being that desperate for Trubisky, Watson or Mahomes. Good QB prospects but not elite ones.

There are teams who are no doubt interested in moving up for a QB but they won't be giving up anything close to what Philly and LA gave up last year.

I'm fine with letting the Browns have their cake and eating it too. It's not like they play in our conference.

As long as we get a fair offer, of course.

Roger Goodell: "The San Francisco 49ers have traded the #2 overall pick to the New England Patriots for a box of cookies. With the second pick in the NFL draft..."

What type of cookies is the question, because if they try to pawn some crappy oatmeal raisins off on us and try to tell us they are chocolate chips I will personally kidnap Tom Brady and hold him hostage until we get some m'fn chocolate chips.
I think The Jaguars, Bears, and (of course) the Browns are all set to be dumpster fires w/a shot at the #1 overall pick next year. Any trade down that secures on of those #1 picks would give the 49ers the flexibility to wait for Cousins next year, since the pick could get them the top QB in 2018 if Cousins isn't a 49er.

Yes

I would not be upset, but a little disappointed because I prefer going with another player and targeting a QB later. I don't see Trubisky as a clearly superior prospect to the other QBs.
Ok. so..which one happens

Trade, Fournette, Adams, Thomas

And all those teams are looking to move up for a variety of prospects, not one particular prospect, that is why there won't be a ton of value attached to the pick. You have teams that could be looking to move up for Thomas, Fournette, Adams, Trubisky, Watson, Mahomes, McCaffrey....etc but if they can't get a fair deal from the 49ers they will just go to the next team on the list...rinse and repeat.
If the Browns are really trying to get our #2 pick, then they are probably telling any other teams wanting that spot also, what they, ( the Browns) are going to pay to move up, ( as in lying ), our FO on the other hand is probably doing more if not the same.....they ought to sell tickets to be able to sit inside a teams war room during a actual draft
