I liked the thought of Mahomes... in a later round.

Top 10? No thanks.

3 teams outside the top 10 according to MM.

Hmm. Browns, Saints and Colts?

Would not mind getting down to that range and grabbing Charles Harris, Haason Redick, or Corey Davis tbh

Not surprised, he's the most exciting QB prospect in the draft.

Not so sure about that.. It could just be chatter but that's a lot of teams. If Cleve is really willing to part with their high picks that would be our winner.

And all those teams are looking to move up for a variety of prospects, not one particular prospect, that is why there won't be a ton of value attached to the pick. You have teams that could be looking to move up for Thomas, Fournette, Adams, Trubisky, Watson, Mahomes, McCaffrey....etc but if they can't get a fair deal from the 49ers they will just go to the next team on the list...rinse and repeat.

Sure, but all it takes is 2 teams bidding for a QB and the value goes up even though they don't know for sure who they are bidding against. Both Chi and JAX have been rumored to target QBs so it's not a stretch to think that teams are vying to move up.

Harris, Lamp or Howard for me. Reddick will be gone fairly early I think.

Why are you sorry? #2 is in the top 10
The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot reports the Browns have been "working the phones" trying to trade up from No. 12 overall to draft Mitchell

Cabot, via multiple league sources, reports the Browns will take Myles Garrett with the No. 1 overall pick and then focus their attention on coming up from No. 12 to land Trubisky. It'll be easier said than done, but Cleveland has plenty of draft ammo to pull it off if they want. Cabot reports talks will get going if Trubisky falls into the pick Nos. 5-6 range of the first round. The 49ers, Bears, and even the Jaguars are options to take Trubisky at Nos. 2-4 when Cleveland passes at No. 1.

Yup. There's always Allen next year...

Similar talent and guts, couple inches taller. Not sure if he's the same competitor/leader. Mahomes is a hell of a leader. Top end, for real.

We aren't trading down if it's a player our team wants. They won't risk moving down and getting picks just to lose out on who they want

How the hell are they going to know who it's for?

Ring ring

Lynch - " hello"

Panthers - "hey John we are interested in trading up to your spot at 2"

Lynch - "ok, I'm listening"

Panthers - "we'd give you pick 8, our 2nd this year and our 1st next year"

Lynch - " wow, that sounds like a winner!"

Panthers - "ok, we'll call it in"

Lynch - "hey wait!, who you taking?"

Panthers - " "

Lynch - "please tell me"

Panthers - "not telling!"

........dial tone

Yes but the assumption is that these teams would each like the same QB. That is uncertain. Any one of Watson, Trubisky or Mahomes could go first and nobody would bat an eye. This isn't like last year at #2 where it was obvious that Wentz would be the guy once it was clear that Goff was going #1.

I honestly don't care who they pick in the first round. It's hard to screw this up with this much talent (except for a just couple of guys - no to McDowell, no to Watson). I'm far more excited to see what they do with the extra 2nds and/or 3rds
