Actually I'm just using common sense. Kyle Shanahan has been paving his own way for quite some time now I would say years he has been making his own decisions on player prospects and picks that he likes himself, not going to his dad.

My fellow coach played with him at the Y. He said he had some personal stuff go on at home and yes the rumors of him violating BYU honor code led him to take a year off. He said he came back and looked completely different that different rumors started swirling that the dude became a roid freak while away from the team.
