Looks like a good player, would love to draft him. Like Foster though I think we are out of position to get him.

he may last till our early 2nd round pick but he will be 2nd ilb taken after foster he would really help run D
i honestly think with new DC if we get this guy with bowman back and our DL i think we can be a great run defense unit

Bunch of teams mid to late first round need ILB's, like Arizona and Oakland. OT, edge rush and ILB seem like needs this year

Disagree on this - Foster is probably the best tackler in the draft and I'd put Davis ahead of Cunningham as well. Cunningham is going to be drafted for his length, athleticism, and instincts. He's pretty good in coverage and has potential as a pass rusher down the road (not a great pass rusher now though). He doesn't hit like Foster and he also misses more tackles than Foster.
This is from Rob Rang on Cunningham in August:
"WEAKNESSES: While Cunningham's size, athleticism and awareness are certainly appealing, there is room for improvement, including in the most important area for any linebacker - tackling.
In part because of Cunningham's relatively lanky frame, his pad level is often higher while tackling then preferred. Cunningham often wrestles runners to the ground with his upper-body strength rather than consistently driving them back through his hips. This can leave Cunningham a little off-balance at the point of attack, leading to his catching runners and pulling them down (after surrendering another yard after contact) or, occasionally, missing them altogether."

I'm still very high on this kid and wouldn't mind if we trade up slightly to get him at the end of the first. If we go QB at 2, this could be someone we're targeting. If we go pass rusher at 2 (Garrett), I think we're going to address the QB position with our 2nd pick, hopefully in trading up for Kizer/Watson.

yea ur right id actually probably put foster ahead of him on tackling..he just doesn't get as many chances cuz bama is deeper and more linebackers sub in

Yea this is really my one complaint but it's a big one. He never puts his shoulder into it and always tries to wrestle players to the ground. He doesn't have the fearlessness that you need in a linebacker. That's why I slightly prefer Jarrad Davis despite him not having as great instincts.
