The fix it(mostly) off-season for the 49ers

i also highly doubt they pay an OL 10 mil a year.

I like your picks but i agree with some of the other posters here that if you have a chance at a player like Garrett, you pull the trigger without even thinking. When rebuilding, we need to get as many blue chip players as possible. We have gone down that road of compiling numerous picks and Baalke flushed them all down the toliet. Lets pick up the players that have virtually no bust potential and will be a cornerstone of this team for the next 10 years.

I doubt Baalke will be drafting but he always compiled crappy late round picks. We'd be compiling 3 first round picks.
An optimistic offseason for sure! If they stay committed to a 3-4 then Poe would make a world of sense. I don't see management throwing money around this offseason simply because they are so far away from winning anyways. I'd be happy with 1 or 2 of the guys you've mentioned.

Free agency is tricky because you will be forced to overpay for middling players and that's not a recipe for success.

I can see them going after a Front 7 player and a wr for sure because those are the biggest needs by a country mile.

Baalke will go, Gamble will be promoted and Kelly will remain.

Just looking at your draft. I can tell you Cooper Kupp will be gone in the 2nd. A #of teams are VERY night on him and he will NOT make it into the 3rd round
No fix is a real fix without it first involving the firing of one Trent John Baalke
If the Browns take Trubisky no1 overall we need to take Garrett. If we have the no1 pick we need to take Trubisky. Draft WR second. If Courtland Sutton is there we take him. Take the best ILB left on the board third rd or trade into the second for McMillan (ILB).

Rd 1. Trubisky (QB)

Rd 2. Courtland Sutton (WR)

Rd 2. Raekwon McMillan (ILB)

Rd 4. RB or NT (not sure who)
I feel like if you took every QB in this draft and moved them into 2018 not one would go in the first round. If Trubisky and Garrett were available with no trade options and we took Trubisky...I'd kick a baby in the face.

Would love this, we need a pass rusher bad though (love for them to go after Melvin Ingram in FA) I like Carlos Watkins at NT and Hood or Hunt at RB later in the draft.

Thoughts on Ejuan Price at OLB in the 4th?

Not really. Only reason Trubisky is around the 10 spot on some peoples draft board is because the season isnt over yet. Once all the games are played, if he stays on the same course he will be considered a top 3 pick as the draft approaches. Kinda like Wentz. He has already climbed to the top of the QB class in some peoples view.

Watch all of his 2016 passing plays. You'll prob end up seeing what some of us already see.

One knock on him, if it can be considered a knock, is that he has a pretty good WR group. A couple tall guys and a good speedster in the slot. Can't really knock a guy for using the tools at hand though. Thing is, we'd want to create similar conditions for him here if we pick him. Giving him our current WR group would be ill advised.

Also, we may not be drafting top 3 or even top 5 in 2018. We'd have to trade up in 2018 in order to get the top QB in the draft. If Mitch is there when we pick we need to take him. I'll kick 100 kittens if we don't.

(Replied to this in the wrong thread so I copy/pasted it here)

Davis is also on my radar at WR. Looks like we finally agree on a few things. I'd take him if Sutton is gone.

Looking at Trubisky, I just see that "it factor" within the pocket. Outside of the fundamentals, it's hard to describe. You just know it when you see it. I could highlight a few specific plays but I don't need to convince you so...waste of time.

Price has about ten sacks so far yes? I havent watched any tape on him yet but his stats look great, esp for the third or fourth rd.

Yeah I think he's right around 10 sacks...he's under sized which drops him but he reminds me of elvis dumervil, he's a Pitbull lol.
I also like Marquis Haynes at OLB. Don't think he'll be there mid third or early fourth though. If we go QB first rd 2017 I think we may want to focus on WR/ILB second/third rd 2017 then pass rusher early 2018.

QB/WR/ILB are serious needs and we can fill those this offseason. Pass rusher is important but we can land one 2018 via the draft and/or free agency. Could even land one via free agency 2017 with our $100 million. Can't do the same for QB. Good pass rushers arent easy to land in free agency but much easier than landing a QB via FA. And we need two QB's. Might even need two ILB's depending on Bowmans recovery. If we switch to a 4-3 that would help.

If Baalke is still here and drafts another DB early or at all I'll be pissed. We really should focus on offensive skill positions this year. I'd love it if they put in a serious offer for Jeffery (WR Bears).

Trubisky with T Smith, Jeffery, Courtland Sutton and Ellington would be great. Esp if our TE's learn how to catch in the offseason. LOL

TE may be another need. Bell needs to learn how to block. He gave up sacks last year...didnt look good blocking. Not at all. Celek has been dropping passes this year. I'm just about done with Vance, he has been getting open but drops huge potentially game changing passes. Don't really want to draft TE early though. Would even consider bringing VD back at this point. Lol, if he has a good QB throwing him the ball he may have something left in the tank.

Celek, VD and Vance would be an OK TE group. We can land a better TE via free agency though. Maybe draft one in 2018.

Yeah we need QB above all but if Myles is there and we don't have a chance at Mitch I wouldn't be upset. We are gonna need help all over the place. I would love Myles and a trade for Jimmy G to be honest. He's a perfect fit for chip's offense with his accuracy and quick release. Got a great work ethic and isn't a told statue in the pocket. There are some really good TEs I like Sprinkle or Hodges in the mid rds.

Haynes seems a little light to be a OLB for us wouldn't you think (he's like 225 lbs). I like Beckwith as a mid rd ILB as well.

I hope we spend some of that cash (and not just on our own players) but I just don't see it happening unless we get a new GM.

Won't happen, lol

Would be happy if it did though
We have a LOT of salary space next year. Unfortunately so does most of the league. We will be at the top with Cleveland at around 100 million available but there are a bunch of teams over 40 million. That is plenty of room for several free agents. Hell the Patriots are at near 65 million. Even the supposed cash strapped Seahawks are around 25 million. The point is most teams can afford their own FA they want to keep. Only the real question marks will make it to free agency. Then you have 20 teams that can be in play with each individual free agent. Limited amount of free agents plus a boat load of cash makes this an awful year to need help beyond the draft.
