That would be cool, I'd be sorely tempted if he'd sat down with Shanny and discussed his sloppy routes and how hard he'd work on them.

I'm just a believer that if you can't do it at College, you probably can't in the NFL.

Goodwin learned how to run routes and Shanahan and his position coach is a big reason why he got better at it. If Sutton can do that here he will be much more effective then Goodwin.Bring the kid on if he has the work ethic.

Jerry Rice wanted us to take Watson last year at #2. Honestly, the guy should just be GM at this point. Greatness knows what it looks like.

A project who would catch a ton of redzone TDs. Still wouldn't be mad if we found a way to get him.

trade down with the patriots and if we somehow get a combination of sutton and landry I would be ecstatic. His 3 cone time indicates he is able to run nice routes for his size, just needs some coaching.

Because it is the truth. Goodwin was no more then a weak, small, track guy that had NFL GMs drooling after displaying his speed at the NFL combine. Half of Goodwin's heart was in track and field so nobody really thought he'll have the dedication to become anything more then a deep threat and decoy with questionable hands in the NFL. Buffalo gave up on him, and offensive mastermind Klye Shanahan picked him up here.as a project guy that added a speed element to our offense we didn't have.

If Goodwin can develop as a WR playing for the 49ers then so can Sutton that would be playing for the same team, HC, and QB that helped develop Goodwin. I 100% trust Klye Shanahan on offensive players. If he likes them then I don't care where he selects them.

That doesn't inspire confidence in JR's scouting ability but I'd tend to trust his opinion on wide receivers more than quarterbacks.

I'm sorry but Jerry Rice is one of the worst commentators and talent evaluators I've seen from a former player. If anyone should be a scout or GM I think it should be Frank Gore. Jerry is still the G.O.A.T. but he really sucks at evaluating talent from what I've read.
