I don't think that either are elite prospects by any stretch of the imagination. But these guys get clustered together across multiple draft boards for a reason. It's just a matter of preference. In regard to Kizer, he looks like a young Ben Roethlisberger. I'm interested to see how he does in the offseason workouts when he's working with equal talent. Kizer, of these three, requires the least amount of projection to a pro offense. Though it's always a risk with any prospect.

They're all strong armed QBs who can make things happen in and out of the pocket in their own way. It's a good start.

Yeah I agree...I think it also depends on the system they play in. Kizer would benefit from a zona, Pitt, or celevland offense and I can see turbisky and Watson being a better fit for a WCO type of offense.

I'd love to have Kyle shanahan as the HC and give him turbisky. Move back up into the 1st and go after Corey Davis.

Then go hard on defense the rest of the draft.

Turbisky
Davis
Fields

Would make for a great start and add in a center in FA.

I'm gonna come out and say that if Kyle Shanahan became the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers I would embrace Deshaun Watson as the QB.

Yes I said it!!!!

That's fine everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I like him, like I said, just not at #2. If I had to take a QB at #2 it would be Kizer or Watson for me. And I didn't say he's not a leader of that team, I said he's not a vocal leader. He's more of that lead by example type, which there's nothing wrong with. I prefer a QB to have both qualities and to be borderline arrogant

Word...I don't really see kizer as a vocal leader at all? I just don't see what everyone's infatuation with kizer is...no accurate, poor pocket presence, I hacent seen those leadership qualities...I mean upside is through the roof but that's always a "if" he needs to be surrounded by a good team with a good offensive minded HC.

But too each their own

Both are calm and cool in the pocket, both have strong arms, both can extend plays but are looking downfleid first, both are accurate.

I just don't see the bortles comps other than the coming out of nowhere similarly...sorry.

I don't see that comparison. Wilson has a very traditional over the top motion and he needs it because he's so short. Trubisky has a half side arm/traditional delivery.

Agree, I don't see Wilson at all. Much more Phillip Rivers imo, Mitch is like an athletic version of rivers

It's not everyone's infatuation with Kizer, just ranking him in with top 3 like most draftniks already are doing. I know a few posters like yourself don't like him at all but like you said too each their own.

How so? Where is this awkward side arm motion? He doesn't have some hitch in his throwing motion like rivers at all

I disagree, I don't see the Rivers comparison. Rivers has a real exaggerated side arm throw. Trubisky will dip down when he's rolling out, but otherwise he looks normal to me.

No I get it...the proof will be in the pudding end of the day. Just hard for me to look at his games this yr and say he's in the same category as the other two. Seems to me like we have some ND fans in here

This I don't see rivers at all. It might not be a smooth as Wilson but there isn't a problem with his throwing motion at all.

My issue is him throwing off his back foot too much not his throwing motion.
So Garrett or Trubisky for our second pick. It's a win-win situation unless the GM(whoever that is) messes it up.
Hoping that we pick him with our first pick.

Oh yes I am a ND fan no doubt, just like BlueHell is a Clemson fan. Regardless of allegiances Kizer, Mitch and Watson are consistently rated as the top 3 qbs. I'm not going to bash any of these 3 qbs and sincerely hope we land one of them.

Haha yea it's just the first qb that stuck in my mind when I first started watching him, I posted the same thing at the beginning of this thread.

His release isn't as awkward as rivers but it's not a completely overhand throw, there is a touch (just a touch) of side arm in there. I can't see Wilson at all though.

Watson reminded me of a slimmer Cam and Kizer a bit of a mobile Big Ben

Why? He's nothing like Wilson.
