Only if he has a flawless pro day and even with that his odds aren't great. He has the most upside, its not even close, but probably needs the Aaron Rodgers 3 year rebuilding plan.

I would not be surprised if he is the first QB taken. He has good mobility and the most live arm in this class, and someone will take a shot on him in the first round.

I agree. His confidence and calm are top of the class. I still think it would seem early for the 49ers to grab him at pick 2 overall, but I'd be pissed if the 49ers trade back and he's goes before their new pick. He's getting a lot of attention at 25 to the Texans or 32 to the Saints, so it's pretty likely he could go before that. This draft is exciting and nerve-wracking. The top 4 QBs could be selected in any order without much surprise. Mahomes could go in the teens, but he's just as likely to go in round 2. Crazy.

Neither do I. Both got big arms, mobile, aren't afraid at all to take a big hit. And their similarities kinda end there. Take some like ten minutes of watching tape to see it's a bad comp.

Stafford was much more polished and Mahomes more accurate if comparing them coming out of college.

I can see him getting into the first round and although I'd like to scoff at him going in the teens or higher, I also witnessed Jake Locker and Christian Ponder go very high in the first, so anything is possible.

This. If Shanahan could have Mahomes to work with I do think they could become a very good & very aggressive type of offense we haven't had around here in a long time. We know Shanahan likes to stay aggressive during all points of a game & Mahomes is very aggressive but also does not turn the ball over very much.

I would be very surprised to see him go before Watson or trubisky. I think a team would make a
Bad choice to take him in the first round. This draft is stacked. So honestly if he doesn't go. A lot of teams will want to trade up for him, we have that pick! Maybe it can net us a first rounder next yead
