Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline hears that while training with Clemson WR Mike Williams and Western Michigan WR Corey Davis, USC WR Darreus Rogers has "looked the equal" of those two first-rounders to-be.

This has particularly been the case during pass-catching drills, where Pauline reports that Rogers was "oftentimes the best receiver of the three when the trio worked together." The analyst adds that the true concern with the 6-foot-1, 215-pound Rogers is in his top-end speed. "My suggestion: don't automatically dismiss Rogers if he's not swift during the [C]ombine and pay attention to his pass-catching workout," Pauline concludes. Rogers could find interest in the later rounds on Day 3 of the draft.

Thanks for this - it answered some questions I had.

If it came down between Davis and Williams - who'd be out best fit??
Corey Davis. The only prospect I see in this draft that has true #1 WR potential. The guy has the size, speed, technique, skills, and disposition you want in a wide receiver.

Mike Williams is a very nice player, but he isn't as quick or fast as Davis and his route running isn't close to Corey's.

I think Davis would fit Shanahans offense better of the 2

That's the impression I get as well.
Hopefully, Lynch will acquire at least one FA WR...I'd love to see him get Garcon for two reasons. One, he's still a baller and two, he'd set the example for the younger receivers. I'd be happy with either Williams or Davis...both have the size and skill to become excellent pro receivers. I love how Williams fights for the ball...and as said, Davis runs great routes. Later in the draft, maybe they'd take Cupp.

I see Mike Williams as a similar player to Mike Evans. I think Corey Davis is closer to AJ Green.

I think Mike Williams, Corey davis, and John Ross all have potential to be true number 1s. . Ross is getting lost in all the Davis/ Williams hype. The kid could be an OBJ type at his full potential
Josh Norris with a nice write up about the WR's, he split them into outside and slot categories. Has Henderson rated pretty high and as an outside receiver.

3. Carlos Henderson, Louisiana Tech

Where He Wins: Explosion is ridiculous. Wins both in the slot and outside. Wins contested despite 5-foot-11 frame. One of the best I've seen after the catch. Threat as a kick returner.

Ranking explanation: Has a chance to be the premiere receiver in this class. Yep. Refinement, comfort, nuance… if those buzzwords enter his game, watch out.
been hearing alot about Malachi Dupre lately. They are saying he could be a riser after the combine. Also said that LSU QBs were so bad that it hurt his stock alot.

What do you guys know about him? He has tremendous size

"CBS Sports ranks Dupre the No. 7 receiver in the 2017 NFL Draft and a projected second-round pick, though he could find his way into the first round. Dural probably won't go until Day 2 of the draft, but Kaplan notes that he impressed people at the Senior Bowl."

"Over the weekend, NFL.com draft analyst Bucky Brooks wrote that NFL scouts are starting to notice LSU football wide receiver Malachi Dupre as a potential player to rise up draft boards."

Would love to get this guy in the mid-rounds for Shanahan's offense
River Cracraft (WSU) could be a nice UDFA target for a slot/ST position.
He could be next in the line of Mike Leach's tough inside receivers that somehow get open and catch the ball.
I don't think he contributes in the return game though.
ACL special too.

Possibly the worst blocker I've noticed seen in college. Zero toughness.

Also dropped over 19% of his passes his sophomore year. There's a reason this guy isn't going to be a first-round pick.

He's fast, agile & flexible though; he does have some talent.

Please if your correct 1 of them be a niner next year bc both comparisons are top 5 WRs in this league and are match up nightmares..
Absolute best case scenario for me would be Corey Davis somehow dropping to the 2nd and then Josh Reynolds in the 5th or 6th.

Not saying that's likely tho....

More likely would be Zay Jones in the 3rd and then Josh Reynolds in the 5th or 6th.
