Brad Kaaya - QB Miami

For a guy who wilts under pressure, he sure stands in there and takes big hits.

I respect it.

His drop in completion percentage when pressured doesn't appear to be due to a lack of courage or fear of contact.

I'm a Mahomes guy all the way, and prefer other QBs to Kaaya, but he's my favorite sleeper for us (in terms of a QB not often linked to us). Pro style experience. Full field reader.

I agree that this kid had a great chance to become a quality starter in the league. You can tell for a guy that played in three different systems in three years, he processes information incredibly fast post snap to make full field reads and find his target. He has sound, consistent mechanics that lead to good accuracy to all levels of the fields and above average power on his throws. He shows good pocket mobility and stays in a throwing position at all times. Mechanics and build remind me of Brady. Not saying he is Brady, but they are sound and will lead to consistent play. Allowing him to learn and offense and play for a year without getting his face bashed in would do wonders for him and propel him to a solid if not very good pro career. I like home in the 3rd and love him in the 4th. If you like Peterman, you should love Katya, because Katya has an NFL arm, whereas Peterman does not. They share the other tangible and intangibles, which would make them starter material.

Major difference being that Peterman rated as one of the top QBs under pressure while Kayaa rated as one of the worst.

This doesn't have to become a VS match, cause what if someone takes him in the second out of left field ya know. I'll ask this, IF he sits 2-3 years and after one he shows he's starter WORTHY.. wouldn't you pull the trigger? I'm all for the Aaron Rodgers route, sit for a HOTTTT minute. This guy could be the one could do it. Im not batting for Kaaya, just saying two years could be magic going through the motions in practices; Another ten pounds of muscle would be nice. Work on that lower body and core(I know you can say these things for other QBs). Probably does go in the fourth if I had to guess.
Just watched Grudens show. No wonder he struggled under pressure his last year, he was getting f**kin wrecked his whole time there with that line. Who wouldn't be shell shocked? It's on him if he can get over that. No way to measure it.

Alex Smith looked pretty effing shaky for a hot minute too at one point. there was a shot with Gabbert but he wasn't clutch enough. If this guy is selected with our fourth... I wouldn't care one bit. I think Kizer is gonna be the guy in the second.

Yea Alex smith won't ever be a QB that wins a bunch of games and puts the team on his shoulders. But he makes a decent qb on a stacked team, all they ask from him really is to not f**k up and don't turn over the ball. Then the team takes care of the rest.

I think we can get 2012 Alex Smith play from Hoyer this year... do or die for Hoyer as well. Could be his last shot.

Back when Kyle was with Hoyer and the Browns he had 7td 1int through the first 5 games. Then there all pro center got injured and they went off the rails. So I think you're right if they get good line play.

There was also a stat on his last 16 games combined(simulating a full season).. even before the draft, this is the best offensive talent hes worked with. Everyone is gonna be looking real good in shorts out there lol. Pulling without banking on someone out of Ellington,Rogers,Smelter,Bell give us any form of production and make the final 53.

Not mad at Kaaya as a mid-round pick.
I'm thinking high quality backup that can win some games if he is protected. Dallas should draft him lol.
