Would you guys be mad if we came away with Peppers/McCaffrey or Garrett/McCaffrey the first two rounds?

Yes. McCaffrey is a nice-to-have. We have too many dire needs.

If you could guarantee me 2,000+ APY from McCaffrey.
is it me or did this guy lose alot of steam in the second half of the season. He was a for sure heisman winner in the beginning of the season and havent anything about in awhile.

How is he doing?

Last 5 weeks: 133 carries for 991 yards (7.4 ypc) and 10 TDs (Stanford 5-0). His problem this year was a three game stretch against Washington, Washington St. and Colorado were he had 41 carries for 176 yards (4.2 ypc) and 0 TDs (Stanford 0-3).

Peppers and McCaffrey

This is a stocked RB draft rather grab Gallman/hood in the 4th and go ILB or WR with that high 2nd.

You want to take a WR in the top of the 2nd round in a weak WR draft???

I want to take Corey Davis or Sutton if he declares in a move up like we did with Joshua Garnett yes...draft is stocked with RB and DBs.

In case you did read all of it I said WR OR ILB

Corey Davis is not going that late in round 1, he is most liking going earlier & Sutton is not going to be a 1st or high 2nd round pick. Also after Cunningham & Foster no LB is worth it till round 3. 49ers need offensive play makers McCaffrey fits that bill. But most likely goes 15-25 in round 1. So might be best to look at QB in round 2, then risk taking who is left by round 3.

No way in hell I'd take McCaffrey with a first, second or third round pick! There's nothing about him that says NFL star.

Why? He has averaged almost 6.2 ypc the last two years. He had 337 carries and 2,664 combined rushing and receiving yards last year. Plus a kick off and punt returned for a TD. This season he has 290 plays for 1,913 yards and 16 TDs.

You have no idea when Davis is going, he's looked at as a low end 1st and we have 10 draft picks to play around with...jarrad Davis, McMillan are looked at as 2nd rd picks, I'll bet money beckwith moves up the boards as well.

Why won't Sutton go in the 2nd? If he run a 4.5 or lower you bet your ass he'll be up there.

I wouldn't be upset with McCaffrey just think we could do better than someone I see as a 3rd down back/slot guy with our 2nd rd pick...rather go after gallman in the 4th or McNichols tons of value with the RB spot.

Agree to disagree

He's a 195lb RB that struggles to break tackles. Stats don't tell the entire story. He's not a 3 down back. He's a poor man's Reggie Bush just not nearly as good.

205lbs actually. Also has forced 65 missed tackles on the year, 44 as a runner and 21 as a receiver.
