I think McCaffrey would be great in this offense. He could be utilized so many different ways. Chip and Shaw are friends as well and I read a article that Shaw reached out to Chip a ways back for creative input in how to use McCaffrey. The fit and connection is there.
I'd look out for a team like the patriots as well for McCaffrey. He'd fit that Dion Lewis role in their offense to a T. I could see Belichick taking a liking to him pre draft.
Barring a trade up, I think they'll be to low in the round to snag him. McCaffrey will go mid-1st. He can be incorporated in virtually any offense -- so, he will appeal to nearly every team.
Last I saw he was projected to go second round. I think he has enough size and abilities to be one of those guys that could start moving up the board quickly if he shows good in his pre draft workouts and him being picked in the top half of the first wouldn't shock me. He's one of those borderline gadget players that don't usually get that first round love though.
I guess we'll see. I'm a fan of what he can do with a football in his hand. Also I just mentioned the patriots as a team to watch for not to isolate him to just them but just as a basis of conversation. He's the kind of player that Belichick loves in his offense. High football iq. Versatile. Any creative offensive coordinator would be able to use his gifts though.
