Myles Garrett - Edge Rusher

Garrett is my favorite player in the draft, however I'd consider him my option B at the moment.

The pros are endless. He is an elite talent, the best prospect in the draft, locks down the most important role on defense, and has the potential to really change the look of our defense. I am not saying we will be a top defense immediately, but we would have Lynch on the other side, and DeForest Buckner in his second year. Add a top NT and some ILB that can tackle and we may have something.

The only con is that we may miss on a QB. So if you are of the opinion that we should absolutely draft Myles Garett, what realistic options do you like at quarterback? I don't buy Deshaun Watson falling to the second. Too many teams are in need of a QB for a guy that is at worse, the second best QB in the draft. The Bears, Jets, Texans, and potentially the Cardinals and Jaguars will all be looking.

Gotta have a QB and the 49ers need to address it sooner rather than later. This draft is as as good as any.

I disagree. The Qb's in this draft are solid at best but they're not franchise players. I like that Miami QB in the second round, doe.

You have got to be kidding. The QBs are not franchise players and then you want Kaaya.

My thoughts exactly ha.

That is precisely why we have to take a QB at 2. We just don't have a choice if we are serious about taking a franchise QB and not just any QB. The obvious choices still remain to be Trubisky and Watson. Anyone outside of the 2 are considered more as gambles. Myles Garrett is a great pass rusher no doubt, but landing a franchise QB is far more important strategically.

We HAVE to. HAVE to always works out doesn't it? What could go wrong? :)
Steelers gonna win
Rest their starters vs Browns next week.
Browns win next week.
49ers lose to Seattle and get the #1 draft pick.
PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

Steelers are only a game up on the Ravens for the division lead with one game left. 9ers will end up with the #2 pick..

Well if the Steelers beat the Ravens in today's game, they can afford to rest their starters.
Steelers win they get the division, next weeks game means nothing.

The only reasonable option to me is trading for Jimmy Garapolo and plan to take a QB high in next year's draft, no matter what. The QB in 2018 will either be the QBOTF because JG didn't work out or a talented player to legitimately compete with JG for the starting position.

Outside of that, there are other QBs I like, but no one I can rest easy with. And we need to operate from the standpoint that none of our current QBs will be here in 2017.

Kaya's useless.

Step one, complete.
The dream is still alive.
Get a QB later and pickup Garapallo, Glennon, or Romo.

Draft a QB in 2018 as the class is much better.
