Scooby Wright in the 1st???? I'm confused...I don't see him going anywhere near that. I see him as a 3rd round pick IMHO.
Arizona junior LB Scooby Wright has picked an agent, reports TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline, and will announce his intention to declare for the draft after the New Mexico Bowl next Saturday.
"Where does Wright end up?" Pauline mused. "The majority of people tell me Wright is no better than a mid-to-late round prospect, something I totally agree with." Because he missed most of the season with a foot injury and was already going to face questions about his measurables, it was probably best that Wright return to school to try and rehabilitate his draft stock. You can't blame him for jumping, though, especially since he was one of college football's best players as a sophomore. An NFC executive compared Wright to former Dolphins LB Zach Thomas earlier this year.

Henry is has been viewed as a 4th round pick as well. Nassib is best suited as a 4-3 DE, and ALL of these TEs have much to be desired. I think when healthy we are fine there.

IMO drafting Hargreaves or Ramsey would be a bad move. We have lots of good safeties and a few good corners while we suck at other positions.

I agree with that but really Hargreaves and Ramsey are 2 of the elite prospects regardless of position. They are both really good and could help a team right away.

But I have a feeling Scooby will surprise a lot of people at the Combine. He had the same SPARQ score as Jaylon Smith coming out of HS. I'd be willing to bet Derrick Henry doesn't last past the second round, and I could easily see late first. Nassib can be what the team wants him to be. He's 6-7, 270, so he can probably pack on 20 more pounds. Ran a 4.7 40 this past spring, so he could work at OLB as well.

Sometimes you get lucky with late round/UDFA players at the corners, for a time, but that is all the 9ers have there. Compared to other positions on the field, they are way overdue to spend a premium pick on a corner. It's been considered a probability for the past three drafts, I think, and this year they are actually in a position to get one of the top rated CB in the draft.

Yup a lot to figure out in the draft process...I really don't put a ton of stock in HC numbers as far as evaluating players going into the draft.
But hey it's your prospect grouping.

Baalke just values pass rush over shut down corners. I'd rather focus on pass rushers than DBs and if there are two postions I feel confident in Baalke evaluating its DB and LB

I thought the DL performed fairly well this year, and most of them are young. Armstead and Harold were two of top three picks last draft, and Aaron Lynch has far outperformed his draft position. Dial seems to be a keeper in the middle.

Well, Scooby certainly has the production in college. He outperformed Smith and all other draft eligible LB as a frosh and soph, before losing his junior season to injuries. The knock on him seems to be his athleticism, but the only time it's been quantified he performed at a very high level. 11th best score at the Combine he attended. I'd much rather go by measured tests than someone I don't know's eyeball opinion when it comes down to it.

I'd don't hate scooby don't want to spend a 1st on him that's for sure...id rather spend a 2nd or 3rd on Tyler Matakevich or Kentrell Brothers
Like I said don't really care about HS combines...that will all get taken care of in the NFL combine

They are pretty accurate predictor from what I`ve seen. Probably 80% of the prospects put up numbers within a few percentage points of their recruiting combine numbers at the NFL Combine. Except for strength, which takes a big jump as they get older and train harder.

Day 3 I like Darion Griswold TE. He's huge, athletic, and has a ton of potential. Former basketball player and QB. One of my sleeper picks.
