Smith is my favorite player, but we Goff is the guy. I think potentially, Smith has a much better chance of being the top LB in this league than Goff has of being the top QB, but it's the value in the position. We need a franchise guy. I truly wished Gabbert showed more in his time starting that I'd be comfortable passing on Goff.

Lol. Montana wouldn't look good behind this oline

O-line is only part of it. You still need talent behind center to execute no matter what O-line you have. Gabbert, not that he is some sort of an elite QB, he plays better behind this line than Kap for example. The Cowboys also thought it was their O-line that allowed Demarco Murray to cream it with over 1,800 yards and any RB would be able to do that behind that line. Err, as it happens, NO. LOL.

When this poll first started, I think it was like 70% Jaylon Smith and 30% Jared Goff. Look at it now, is almost even Stevens. Give it a little more time, I reckon Jared Goff will take the lead soon all the way until the draft.

In a day, it jumped another couple of % points, we are now at 48% Jaylon Smith and 47% Jared Goff. I am absolutely convinced the fans are really coming to their senses.

Now, let's get blown out on Sunday and keep working on getting the worst record we can. Let's see where 4-12 will get us.

Boom!! There we have it, 47% vs 47%!!

OK, here we go, Jared Goff officially takes the lead (48% Goff vs 47% Smith)!!

I can't keep track, in less than an hour, the % points have gone up yet again, is now 49% Goff vs 46% Smith.

Let's keep it coming, folks!! Jared Goff is the way to go!!

50% Goff vs 45% Smith.

This is great, the fans are finally coming around and seeing light.

Let's go, Jared Goff!!

goff is not a sure thing...d needs to be great again...you don't pass up on an elite talent like smith...this goff for our 1st pick has got to stop...too much talent available

Not happening bro. In this league, if you don't have a QB, you are not going to go anywhere, is really as simple as that.
Stanford QB > Goff

I'm sure that has nothing to do with Romo missing almost the entire season, Dez Bryant missing most of the season and defenses as a result fearlessly stacking the box. The number of times that Dallas has seen an 8 man front basically tripled from last season.

Even with all that considered McFadden is on the verge of 1,000 yards rushing.

lol....no.
It's a QB driven league and each year the League takes something away from the defense. No high hits , no low hits, horse collar tackle (horse collar tackle, give me a break), I'm waiting for a flag for intent to harm without hitting. So what I'm trying to say is Defense is going the way of the dodo bird. Draft a QB, we're a decade or two away from flag football (no joke intended).

Actually neosporin helps. But nope. I just have seen 1st picks on qbs wasted on this team. And when I say wasted, I mean not training them right. Not surrounding them with a good group of talent. And we were a shot hole for years. Just over seeing that, especially when I don't see Goff even better than alex

When? A decade ago?? In the NFL you either have a QB or you are looking for one. This team needs to find one to start developing ASAP. Tomsula is gone after a season if he survives this one somehow, meaning that having a young QB with franchise potential would be a good thing to have in attracting a new HC.

Next year's QB class appears to have one first round caliber QB and appears even weaker overall. By 2018 this team should have significantly worse draft position and even then you take 1-2 years to develop a QB and hopefully they can compete for the playoffs in...2020? 2021?

Why not snag Jaylon Smith sure up the middle of our D and with our early 2nd round pick take Wentz or Hackenburg he's better then people think. Its impossible to be great 28th the type of line Penn state has had. Hack could be great with time to sit behind gabs

Wentz will be a 1st rounder by the time its all said and done IMO. Hackenberg is just terrible. Goff played behind an awful OL and still managed to consistently make plays.
