Lmao a good QB ? What exactly has he done ? Compared to Kap ? Who has proved is the right situation catered to his strength is good..I'll bet a yr and a half ago u loved Kap b4 the NINERS became a train wreck..

Dude, you're drunk if you can't see that Gabbert has played WAY better than Kap has and has done so behind the same putrid Oline. I have just as good of a chance as being on the Niners roster next year as Kap does.

Kap is done, I bet we can't even con some team in to trading us anything of value for him.

As far as a year and a half ago, Kap was blowing a 3 TD lead in Seattle with less than 5 mins to go. Also, it was becoming clear that Kap might not be as good as thought when he could score a TD from the 2 yard line with 3 tries to win a Super Bowl.

Ok well in the super bowl his play brought us back to have a chance to win and he also led us there and tore up teams in the playoffs..vs Seattle I'll admit he can't beat them..I'm unsure why but they have his number..
And I think it's crazy that your saying Gabbert is better then Kap with what both have done..

All you have to do is watch both play to understand that (at this point) Gabbert is better than Kap, mind you, Kap is arguably the worst QB in the league as far as above the shoulders attributes. Athletically, Kap is lights out, unfortunately that doesn't translate to wins in the NFL. So, to say Gabbert is better, that isn't really saying much, but the difference is, Gabbert has shown the ability to lead and also the ability to adjust to defenses, things Kap has never done and seems to not have the ability to do.

Gabbert may not be the franchise QB that will win us 6, but giving him another year and rebuilding the Oline to a level that's better than any he's played behind before, is definitely worth a look.

I agree with drafting an early QB this year to develop, so like another poster said, you're draft is good, just not the idea of trying to salvage Kap.

I understand what you're saying completely but umm how do you get all that information in 3 games Gabbert has started..me personally I'd rather give Kap another chance then Gabbert..I'm not ready to give up on Kap..way too much talent..but I respect your opinion..

Not bad...

Some will argue, "yeah but if Kap had a good oline" ... well, what if Gabby had a good oline?

Gab never started with a good oline imo, but Kap has. We've already seen what Kap could do.

Gabby moving ball with bad oline >>> Kap NOT moving the ball with bad oline
If you're going to give up that much to draft Connor Cook , I think it make sense to trade Kap and keep Gabbert. I don't think Gabby is that good either, but the circumstances may dictate Kap over Gabbert. I will add that if we were to hire Hue Jackson, I think he goes to back for Kap. If rumors are true that he was eyeing Kap in 2011 and we snatched him first, I can see Hue asking Trent to keep him.

Rather it's Kap or Blaine, I think Trent has to seriously consider drafting the next QB early. I just wouldn't trade many picks to draft someone like Connor Cook.

So I'm guessing you don't like Cook ? May I ask why ? I think he's going to be the best of the class..
Nice mock!

He's at best an average college QB. If we can't land Lynch or Goff, I say they wait to see how the board falls. No way should we trade that many picks for Connor Cook.
i disagree

he is very good at reading defenses and going through progressions only issue i see is hhis footwork which causes some inconsistency in his accuracy

Good point on Hue wanting to keep Kap tho bc I heard he wanted to draft him as well but we did..

Yea those very complicated Big 10 defenses.
no way kap stays over gabbert. We can keep gabbert for 14 million less and he has proven he is more productive and a better fit for the offense.

I dont think there is anyway a coach will stay on the team after being fired as HC.

Also, not a fan of Connor Cook, especially if we have to trade extra picks to get him.

Other than that, i like your FA pickups and jaylon smith

Years ago....when nobody had any tape on him. Since then the entire NFL has figured him out. People keepgoing back into the past without considering the conditions that made those things possible.

In 2012 nobody had any idea who he was, he took the league by storm, by 2013 teams had already begun adjusting and by 2014 he was showing that he couldnt adjust back, this year he fell off a cliff completely.
