When he does have to throw it down field his accuracy has been off this year. He'll make the brilliant pass, but that's what he's supposed to do as a top rated QB. His story this year for me is the plays he didn't make. He's missed on a lot of throws this year that could have given Clemson a lot more comfortable margins of victory. Last year Clemson only played in 4 one score games. They've already matched that total in this year alone and it's not like they've played a bunch of killer opponents. Watson has almost all of his offense returning in addition to Mike Williams who should be a top WR prospect when he declares from a neck injury and he's still taken somewhat of a step back this year.
I wouldn't hate Watson as Niner, but I'm not as enamored.
Is chip gonna ask him to make all these tight window throws? He runs basically the same offense. Those killer WRs have all dropped a s**t ton of balls as well (go look at the #s). What kind of stats you looking for??
It's cool you can have you opinion there will always be questions about qb prospects, but just because he's not smoking teams by 40 pts a game doesn't mean he can't play qb....he throws for 5 TDs and has 400 yards of offense vs Louisville and people still hated on him lol. One thing I love about him is he wins end of the day he has found ways to win...his defense hasn't helped him that's for sure.
