Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson - Legit alternative to Jared Goff in 2017? | Page 26

For those of you who have seen my posts know I have been riding on Jared Goff's bandwagon for a while now. That is true, but I am also trying to think out of the box to explore whether there is really another legit option as opposed to drafting Jared Goff in this coming draft. So, let me to throw a name out there - Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson. I can't say I have watched a lot of Clemson football, but from what I have seen so far and heard, this kid seems pretty impressive. A little on the short side at 6'2", but he has a tonne of talent and potential. For those of you who would rather go O-line or D-line in this coming draft in the 1st, the beauty of Watson is he will not be eligible for the draft until 2017. The only issue and this is a HUGE one is there is no way to know whether we will be drafting this high again come 2017. Common sense says we will probably be drafting lower which means Deshaun Watson could be out of the question. Should be noted that one of the INTs wasn't on him. He hit a receiver right in the hands on a slant.

20-31, 5 TDs, 306 yards and 91 yards rushing is pretty monstrous.

hes the sexier version of tebow. Wins a little bit prettier but still a garbage qb.

2 Probowls, ROY and if he didn't mentally burn out he probably could have been great. All that said they aren't even similar. Young is 6-5 and had a side arm delivery, he also only scored a 6 on the wonderlic.

Nope I agree they aren't the same....I'll take Watson no prob if Kizer is gone.

Vince Young? Watson actually knows how to throw the football Tebow did not. Jackson reminds me of Tebow more than Watson.

People are being way too critical of Watson so far this season. He hasn't hit peak form yet, but after starting the game 1-6 for 6 yards against Louisville, he went 19-25 for 300 yards and 5 TDs for the win...in addition to his 90 yards on the ground.

We don't have a hope of getting Lamar Jackson in 2018 as he'll go number one.

However with Myles Garrett a legit chance to go 1st in 2017... We should have a legit shot at Kizer or Watson.

We have to pull the trigger on one of them.
