Its pretty much the opposite. Kelly's scheme has been criticized because it can expose the QB to some really big hits. Its one of the main reasons that the Titans reportedly werent interested in hiring Kelly.

You run a lot of 4 and 5 WR sets and very little max protect. Your QB has to be able to get rid of the ball in a hurry and your OL has to be able to hold its ground damn well or the QB will get his ass kicked something awful.

Quick release and quick thinking is needed in your QB, because he runs a lot of no huddle, superb athleticism, conditioning, quick feet and quick thinking is what you want out of your OL.

You especially need OL with a high football IQ because you dont have many huddles where guys can regroup and have their teammates smack some sense into them when they are getting their ass kicked out on the field.

Then you should be rooting for the Niners to draft Connor Cook, so you can see him get lit up while enjoying a tall glass of Hatorade.

Not down with my favorite team wasting an early draft pick just so I can say I was right about a player.

The quick reads are there though. Plus, Bradfors and Foles are statues in the pocket. Geep never moved the pocket or gave Blaine a quick option. We were so predictable. Chip's offense is all about quick reads and multiple options based on what the defense shows.

Its quick passing but the margin of error is lower because a lot of times you're running with just 5 blockers. You need those 5 OL to all be dependable pass blockers and have the endurance and athleticism to keep lining up play after play without the benefit of a huddle to catch their breath.

We'll see. It just can't get worse. I have to believe that

Probably not but they should definitely go with at least one guard and one tackle. I'm all for loading up the OL early, just knocking that area out so that next draft it isn't one of your Top 3 consideration. If Buckner is gone, draft Stanley and Garnett, Stanley and Whitehair, Conklin and Garnett, whatever the combination and square the OL away.

The nice thing about this draft is that you have a lot of good OL, especially guards throughout. You can find pretty good talent and guys capable of starting as rookies through the first 2 and a half rounds so they don't have to force any selections.

Yes, I would assume that. Just kidding. One of us will have to wait a couple of years to gloat about being right on Cook.

By the way, it's getting around the time to say who was right about Darqueze Dennard (hated) & Bradley Roby (loved) from a couple of years back.

Kind of hard to get a read on Dennard since he's played sparingly due to the guys in front of him and injury issues that plagued him this past season.

The Bengals took Dre Kirkpatrick in the 1st round and he barely played in his first few years until he became a full-fledged starter. Its not like Dennard is playing for the Saints and their ragtag secondary, Cincy also had Leon Hall and Adam Jones. Hall appears to be gone so Dennard should have a nice opening.

If he isn't starting next season then he might be a lost cause but I'm not putting him into Justin Gilbert territory just yet.

You're right dude. A run on defensive players early will allow some premier OL talent to fall and we need to shore that up the first two days this draft and knock some of these scrubs off this roster

If Tunsil is gone, I think this guy is going to be the pick.

Who then? Buckner, Jack, Bosa? I think all those guys will be gone.
