Going to update this regularly however the disconcerting thing is that as bad as the 49ers are, there are viable scenarios where they could end up picking 10th or even 11th in the draft. Here is the current slotting for the top 10. Even though teams 3 to 8 all have 2 wins, because the 49ers have the highest strength of schedule, they get the lowest slotting. 1-Detroit Lions 2-Tennessee Titans 3-Baltimore Ravens 4-Cleveland Browns 5-Jacksonville Jaguars 6-San Diego Chargers 7-Chicago Bears 8-San Francisco 49ers 9-Houston Texans 10-Kansas City Chiefs

I see it differently. In a good year, just about every team picks up good talent so teams really don't separate themselves. A bad year is when teams can really separate themselves by hitting more while more teams miss. These are the years to really find the diamonds/sleepers.

Man this is crazy. I have a buddy who is a Bears fan and he's pissed at their spot. I've ran through the the scenarios a million times and I don't see any possible way we climb into the top 4. So I'm hoping we can somehow lock up #5. That should give some flexibility.

My crush is Laremy Tunsil, but if we miss out, I'm hoping we take Jaylon Smith at 5 or move back a few spots and still can land Smith or Ogbah.

Chargers beat the Raiders, and we're at 5. That's not terribly unrealistic. Dallas beats a free-falling Bills team, and we're at 4. It's totally possible.

Oh I totally agree and really hope it happens that way. If the Skins and Steelers lockup their playoff position, I can see them resting their starters in week 17 and the Ravens and Cowboys steal a game. Buy I've learned not to put to much stock in these bad teams to win a game.

Just a feeling but I think Tunsil would be going to the Titans if he has a good offseason. Mariota has gotten beat up a bit this year and they could put Tunsil at LT and move Lewan, who has been rather disappointing, to RT.

I don't think the Steelers will back off as long as they have a shot at winning the division. The Bengals are still rolling with a backup QB, and they face each other in the season finale. Root for Cincy to win this weekend I guess....but playing at Denver, that could be a lot to ask.

Yea I know. I was hoping the Titans would squeak out some wins lately because I figured they would be the team to take Tunsil. Unfortunately they've been awful and I expect that they will most likely finish in the #1 spot. I'm not as big on Standley as most, so I'll much rather Trent take Jaylon Smith or trade back.

Best part would be that if the Chiefs win out and Denver loses to the bengals and steelers win out then Denver would be the 6 seed.

IMO the strength of schedule thing is backwards. The idea of the draft is to reward teams who are really screwed. Bad & without a chance to improve much on their own.

It's easier for a team playing an easy schedule to improve than one playing in a tougher division.

Dang good point...have the division Record be the first tie-breaker, then the strength of schedule, call the commissioner right now
