If we can sneak in a win here at the end we'll likely be picking 8-12.

Hard to sneak a win in when you have the worst oline in football and no running back.
PS.... And worst coach.

From the scenarios I looked at today the worst case scenarios (assuming all other teams we're competing for draft position lose out would be...
We win these next two games- Worst Case Pick @ 17
We win one more game- Worst Case Pick @11
We lose out- Worst Case Pick @ 6 (assuming Lions win tonight which looks like a lock)
I can't imagine any true fan wanting to win these last 2 meaningless games, especially given the talent drop off after the blue chip prospects in the Top 10 (Goff, Tunsil, Bosa, Stanley, Hargreaves, Jaylon Smith). Also consider the fact that any wins will help Jed justify keeping this staff which to me is even worse than our draft position. I want us to lose and lose badly because this is not a reload situation, it's a rebuild and we need to blow this s**thole of a team up.

If Justin Tucker doesn't slip on the sod, they only need a FG on the final drive.

i could see the Chargers beating the Raiders next week which would give us #5 if we lose out. would not be surprised if we beat the Rams at home to close out the season

Chargers, Cowboys, and Titans all have winnable games, imo. At least one of the should pull out a win. Ravens could surprise at home... but they won't.

Tennessee Titans remaining schedule:
vs . Houston
at Indianapolis
Cleveland Browns remaining schedule:
at KC
vs Pitt
Baltimore Ravens remaining schedule:
vs Pitt
at Cinc
San Diego:
at Oak
at Den
Dallas Schedule:
at BUF
vs Wash
Gazing into my Crystal Ball....
I don't see Tennessee, Cleveland, or Baltimore winning either of their remaining game as they are playing tough teams at home or are on the road against relatively equal teams. San Diego and Dallas might have a shot, but don't think it's very likely.
Leaves us at 6th if we lose out. Might sneak up to 4th, but that's about it.
If we win a game we will slide quite a ways down.

The idea of going 4-12 and picking outside the top 5 is fuking ridiculous.
IMO the strength of schedule thing is backwards. The idea of the draft is to reward teams who are really screwed. Bad & without a chance to improve much on their own.
It's easier for a team playing an easy schedule to improve than one playing in a tougher division.

Its an especially bad year to suck.
Now imagine going 5-11 and picking like 10 or 11.
