Problem is... Fournette may be the safest pick at two. If this was ten to fifteen years ago, he'd be first off the board with this lot.

One thing is for sure, the last thing I want to see is a QB drafted at two for the 49ers. If they draft a QB, it better be in the back third because they made a killer trade.

Not sure why he's the safest pick when he's coming off an ankle injury which some reports may be a chronic issue...all while being a super physical back.

That bruising running style unfortunately screams short shelf life in the NFL.

Exactly why I'm concerned about the guy. I have no doubt he'd have some great games for us if we drafted him but with #2 overall you want a guy who is kicking ass for your team for 10+ years.

RBs shelf lives are so short these days and with the way he runs we may not get through his second contract if even got to re-sign him.

like AP
I will be happiest with LF, Hooker, or obviously Garret. I will probably convince myself that who ever we pick is worth it, just some maybe harder than others ( Foster,Thomas).

He's a great prospect but he is not AP.

Also let's not overlook AP has missed 37 games in 10 seasons. The Vikings have gotten 8 seasons in essence out of AP and never went to a SB let alone win one.

We all want a cornerstone player with the 2nd overall pick, but we should use it on a more premium position. Running backs are a dime a dozen, and the Shanahans have a long history of turning water into wine with mid to late round finds at that position.

Cause the Vikes with the exception of the one magic year with Favre.. did a bad job of giving him a great surrounding cast. That's why.

Are you saying that LF isn't the answer to our problems and we need a lot more than just a potential top rb?
