All Baylor products need to be viewed with suspicion. They've put up a lot of their numbers against weaker competition.

Was looking at the highlights and he just looks too stiff. I think he's over-hyped because of that meme of him looking huge.

Yeah I like Calhoun.

I have him as my #3 pass rush OLB entering the year (Behind Bosa and Nicolas).
I don't think the niners have a shot at some of the top rush lb, unless you expect the niners to be that bad this season. I think at worst, we will be the same as last season 8-8, but hoping we surprise and at least get 10 or more wins despite the offseason we had.

Besides, we may already have the answer on the squad, I think the niners will go after OL, ILB and maybe DB first, but with Baalke in charge, who knows. Still a long way, as we have to see how the season goes, some players on the roster may surprise.

True but they are the top two OLBs who will be free agents next off season. Shane Ray had a very dubious character history so I'm not sure why you suggest him after poo-pooing Von Miller.

But Von Miller is going to cost a fortune to sign (and he won't leave Denver anyway). Shane Ray would've cost a low first-round pick. It's one thing investing a top-7 pick on a multiple-time character risk (or 100 million dollars), but a pick in the 20's for a talent like Shane Ray despite one blemish would've been a good investment IMO (at least compared to drafting Armstead).

DL might end up as a bigger need than olb. I'm not sold on Tank or Dial. Dockett is old, TJE is probably our best DL behind Dockett. Hopefully armstead works out but it seems we are thin.

They have the cap space to sign an expensive FA if they are of a mind to do so, and my memory of reading up on Ray indicates possible character issues...but he's yesterdays news and they had Aldon already on board. Further more, they drafted Harold, who may be as good as Ray or better in a short amount of time. Harold has one of the quickest, most explosive take offs from the LOS and is a very high character guy...hard worker and natural leader.

My hope is still for Lynch and Harold to combine with Brooks to make the OLB spot so solid that they can concentrate elsewhere in next year's draft, depending on how things shake out. Armstead could be a bust or he could be the second coming of J Smith...to assume he is either at this point is presumptive.

Huh? TJE was one of the worst D lineman in the league last year according to PPF...What happened to Dorsey and Williams? Dial played pretty well last year and will be used more as a DE than a NT (which is much better based on he's strengths) Tank he coming along fine and had 3 sacks in the last 3 games, just needs more snaps.

I think overall and based how Baalke drafts pass rush is more important...it all depends on what they do with Brooks this off season.

You don't get it... It's never too early to write a player off. Chasing after a sunk investment or making sure you have a replacement for that investment before you cut ties is a fools errand.

Fact is, no probowl in rookie year = bust!

Cut all the things!!!!!!!!!

You're right; they do have the money. And if the Broncos didn't franchise Von I'd be open to the Niners signing him. However, my first reaction is that it'd probably be a bad idea.
