Why would Baalke want/need to trade up? He's sitting at # 15...so if anything, there'll be teams wanting to trade into that spot, so Baalke can gain more picks. It's the scenario that makes the most sense and we all know how he loves to wheel & deal the more picks he has to work with.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Balke trade away picks this year for 2016 picks. Stockpiling picks for next year and then making a BIG move in 2016.

I think he might get tempted by one of those top 4 pass rushers.

Can come in right now for Iupati in the guard spot. Eventually he can replace a tackle if that's what Baalke wants. We have Brandon Thomas as well but Boone after his holdout was only signed to a 2 year deal. His contract will expire this year. The Oline was always the strong suit of our offense over the past couple of years. Fixing it is the most important thing to me.

I think he is exactly what we need though...
Trade up for a guard?
Trade up for....... A guard?
It must be April 1!
No way we trade up for a guard.
Kap got sacked too much last year. So Collins could replace Iupati or Boone or Davis who was often injured last year. If he can switch around the Oline, it gives us options if any of the Oline gets injured.

Trading up for a guard
They just drafted two good o-linemen in the 3rd last year, what happened to those guys? Martin and Thomas both played LG at some point in college and we only have one starting spot open. Worry about Boone next year, Baalke has drafted 23 players in the past two draft because he knew we'd be losing some vets, now it's time to get quality of quantity.
I like Staley,Thomas/Martin, Kilgore, Boone,Davis for 2015

There seems to be a lot of talk about drafting a WR 1st round. And it looks like it will cost us picks to move up to get Parker.
So to get the 3rd best WR in the draft it will likely cost us our 2nd round pick, maybe more.
But if you look around the league at the top WR in the league, very few of these teams actually make deep runs in the playoffs. Megatron, Julio, AJ Green, Dez, Brown, Nelson, D. Thomas).
Sure some make the playoffs, but its clear that QB and defence still wins games. I am still all for drafting pash rushers, and CBs early. We cannot assume Aldon SMith is on this team at this point next year. That guy is a loose cannon.

We could do it for a Wr or a front 7 player. Around 7, Cooper, White or Shelton and Parker or OLB around 12.

Don't get me wrong, I wish we paid more attention to both lines. But trading up for a guard!

I gave up trying to figure Baalke's plan. Dude lives in his own draft world...that's not a criticism, just a reality.

Baalke filled some holes by signing some FA (Torrey Smith, Darnell Dockett, Shareece Wright, Jerome Simpson and Reggie Bush).
If we were to move up, Baalke should be targetting on a specific player, Amari Cooper, Kevin White, Devante Parker, Leonard Williams or Danny Shelton.
But if we stayed at 15 either DGB or Trae Waynes should be there.

Exactly! I've having a blast with mock draft generator. Somebody always slips to us at #15. Davante is almost always available. Frequently I'll have La'el Collins, Trae Waynes, Malcom Brown there as well. Occasionally a Danny Shelton or Kevin White will slip.
So I think we are in a perfect position to sit back and select the best available athlete. That said, the talent tends to plateau thru around pick 18-20 so I wouldn't want to move too far back unless we are taking a flyer on DBG who should be there in the 20s.
But my early prediction on who we'll draft is: Trae Waynes.

We need a splendid draft from Baalke. I just PRAY that he doesn't try to get too cute this time around. Why do I get the feeling he has wood for Gurley? <--- ha funny without that being my intention.

It's surprising how often Amari Cooper drops in that Mock Simulator as well.....
