Biggest Bust..!!!!!

Ehhh, if you're starting consistently for a while for multiple teams... you're not a bust. McQuarters and Lawson did that.

I know people think first rounders should be in canton at the point of retirement to be successful, but that's not reality. If you're a legitimate (don't have to be a pro-bowler) starter, you're not a bust, regardless of the round you're drafted.

I stand corrected my good man. I just had the hope of McQuarters being our shut down corner. I was stoked about the pick thought he would be a Deion sanders type.

I honestly forgot about Balmer. Maybe my brain was just using a defensive mechanism.

McQuarters was a letdown for me too. Part of that letdown were the asinine comparisons to Charles Woodson that built up over the top expectations. McQuarters was an athlete that played corner. I've always wondered if he was utilized properly. I think he eventually moved to FS for the Giants and was very successful at that position for a period of time; eerily like the "plan" for Jimmy Ward.

In the end, McQuarters, IMO, was utilized poorly by the 49ers... but he did start and was "good" at his job, but not great. He was most definitely better than Rumph. Now he was a flat out BUST.

Let's not forget Kentawn Balmer. I'll always remember him as the man we took over Desean Jackson.

Sergio Kindle, the olb from Texas. Can't believe I still remember that guy he was my favorite and sad we didnt take him in the second.

Prepare your barf bag and strap your punching fist behind your back....

the 49ers also took Chilo Rachal in the second before D.Jacks!!!!
Reggie Bush. While not a total waste, isn't the next Barry Sanders he was touted to be
Jim Druckenmiller
JJ Stokes - gave away A LOT of picks for him, and never lived up to the hype.

The funny thing is the zone didn't even like Desean Jackson very much. The D.jacks everyone was calling for was little dexter Jackson out of Appalachian st. Hell there was even a poll put up and more Zoners thought Lavelle Hawkins Jacksons teammate at cal would be a better wr.
