Walters Football still has the Niners taking White at #15. They've got Cooper and Parker going before him.
I look at it this way: I'd be happy with White, Cooper or Parker with the first pick and I'm pretty sure they'll have a chance at one of those guys.

Jan. 14th:
15. San Francisco - Kevin White, WR, West Virginia Whoever the new coach is, the offense and Colin Kaepernick need a weapon that can stretch the field. White is an excellent vertical threat that will open up the rest of the field for Kaepernick and Co.

White is a threat. We should move up and get him.

I would do what it takes to ensure Kevin White is a 49er.
Hopefully Baalke shares my sentiments.

This mock is almost a month old, and White is moving up in most recent mock, though Walters still has him at 15.

I think Baalke gets it... On tape, all the flags this guy draws, it's gonna be him or DGB...

I just don't see the 9ers taking a receiver in the 1st, especially since Stevie Johnson and Anquan Boldin are there. I'd say in the 2nd is where a receiver is being targeted. With Ray McDonald, Justin Smith possibly gone, Ahmad Brooks most likely gone, both CB's possibly gone, not to mention a shaky NT position, defense has got to be the pick, just too many holes, Matter of fact IMO, 75% of the draft should be dedicated to the defensive side of the ball.

So would I. But with White now being considered the #1 WR by many, I highly doubt Baalke trades up that far

Big drop though between White and Parker to Devin Smith and Nelson Agholor, the likely second round guys. I agree that it will be tempting to take one of the top DL if they are there but even that is becoming doubtful. Shelton is likely top 10 and Goldman is jumping up as well. My hope would be for White to drop to 15 and Carl Davis to be there in the 2nd.
I really think Baalke needs to be willing to move around this year. They have definite needs and if they stand pat they will likely miss out on all the WRs and DL that would fit their needs. It's too early to say that for sure but it seems there are three or four guys at each position in the top fifty.

You have the Raiders possibly taking Cooper and then at #10,11,12 you have Rams, Vikings, Browns. Rams may either go WR or OL. If they go WR, it will probably be White, most mocks have them going OL. Vikings are probably taking Parker to team up with Bridgewater. Browns could either go Shelton DT or White if still there.
So I think it comes down to what the Browns do at #12, but very possible that White could be gone by #15.
White in the 1st and Davis in the 2nd would be my choices, although Davis is moving up some boards into lower 1st / upper 2nd.

Just like there was no way Crabtree could have been there? He's projected to be the 3rd WR off the board. That he is there at 15 (or close enough that it's reasonable for us to move a few spots) is not remotely unreasonable. And if he's gone, there is a good chance one of the other top WRs will be available. Last year was the first time since the 2005 draft that 3 WRs went before 15.
In fact it's fairly rare for any position other than QB to have 3 players taken in the top 15, and usually that means the 3rd one is taken around 12 or later.
So, it's not impossible he and the other top 2 could be gone, but it's much more probable that at least one of them are there, or at least within a couple spots, so we could afford to make a move if needed.
White is a very viable projection at this point.

Some have white as the #1 Wr and realistically the only reason why we got Crabtree was because of the foot injury so unless an injury happens I highly doubt that happens and unfortunately for us this draft does not have good talent teams will take risks

And some (most from what I've seen) have him as the 3rd WR off the board, somewhere between about 11 and 20. Also, it was more Al Davis pulling his super genius "draft the fastest guy" move that really netted us Crabtree. There is no accounting for how players will fall.
If by draft day, he has overtaken Cooper (highly unlikely IMO), or Parker (possible), then one of the others will very likely be where we can get them. Especially considering the first two picks are all but sure things to be QBs. That's would be three WRs in 13 picks. For White (or whichever one ends up being the 3rd WR taken, at this point the consensus is it will be White), to be gone before our pick or close enough that we could make the move if needed, is pretty unlikely.
Not impossible, but unlikely.
