Bad draft to have a need at DL.

Hopefully we can talk Justin into one more season but he doesn't seem like someone to waiver on his plans.

I'd only say the draft isn't loaded with first round talent. If Oakman is returning, then I'd go with Mario Edwards or Armstead. I like the rotation of Edwards, Carradine, and Quinton Dial. Get another player in the mix and I'd love to see Jim Tomsula go to work with the young guys, similar to George Seifert with the DBs in 1981.

Too bad he didnt declared. Dude is pretty solid. But did anyone see those pics of him?

Just an absolute oak of a man.

I like his upside a lot. He is super raw though. But you just can't teach that size. He's an oak tree. Lost in all this WR talk is we may lose Justin Smith and just lost Ray McDonald. We need DE real bad. We need DL generally real bad. I would not be terribly disappointed if we picked him although I know the WZ would. Baalke is so bad at picking WR's in the 1st round it's better we stay away from them anyway. We need DL more than WR anyway. Kap has enough weapons. He just needs to work with Kurt Warner and find out how to play in the pocket and use them.

We got a huge hole at DE. Again Justin Smith may retire and we just lost Ray McDonald. I think our hole is more gaping there. It's not as popular. I understand that. WZ wants a WR every single year for about a decade. That's just how most fans roll. They like the guys with the ball in their hands. It's exciting. I get it. The guy without the ball in his hands is just as important or maybe more so.

I watched a fair amount of footage on him and he reminds me a lot of Manny Lawson all ways gives pressure but never gets there and misses tackles galore

Completely agree none of these prospects make me that excited

It's going to be fun to see what Oakman does with another year in college though. :)

A smart move for him to go back to college and work on his craft. Hope he doesn't get injured and has a great year even though he would be out of the niners range next year cause this team is going back to the playoffs next year!!!
