2015 49ers Draft Needs

The problem with our passing game is not our receiver core.
Our high picks should be OL and DL.

I'd even respect a Todd Gurley high round pick because Hyde isn't bullet proof and our running game is the lifeblood of our offense.

Disagree! The only things this team lacks is a game breaking WR and a shut down corner (I've given up on NT and think this is not a priority for them). If either of those is avaiable in the first round...they should snag him!

No, we lack an offensive coordinator who understands how to game plan an elite passing game and an offensive line that can pass pro for one. We don't even come close to utilizing the WR talent we already have.

I'd love a shut down corner but we both know we aren't drafting one in the first with all those CB's we took this year.

What round do coordinators usually go? What you are saying reminds me of the guys who blamed our last QB for Rashaun Woods not playing well. This team has over looked the WR position for ten years other than Crabtree--until they picked up Boldin. Now they have a good nucleus of talent and can add either size or speed, neither of which exists currently.

Totally agree! We need a stud WR that is good in the red-zone!! I don't even mind spending a early rd pick on a big athletic TE that can actually catch the ball....

I like what we have at CB and hope we resign Cox...we need to focus on OL and DL in my opinion.

While I agree that the running game is the lifeblood, RBs don't get drafted in the 1st anymore and some good prospects will be available later...we aren't in rebuilding mode and are one or two play makers away from being a SB team. Get a down the field red-zone target! I don't care if its a 1st rd pick or 7th, but it has to be a top priority. SJ is good not great, Boldin is getting old, and we have a bunch of "who knows" behind them. VD is sucking not sucking up targets. Talk about a huge let down for him and SF this year. Focus needs to be on the offense not defense, period!

On the other hand...that might mean Gurley would be there when the 9ers draft!
Beef up the lines 1st then worry about speed at WR and height + catching ability TE. I wouldnt mind a decent back up QB either cause we all know Gabbert sucks.

I really doubt they take a lineman in the top two rounds. If they let Iupati leave then perhaps they will go after an OG but not until the 2nd or third. The guys they have now are capable of being a good line. As bad as they have looked at times, they have also looked very good. The difference is play calling and out thinking the other teams DC.

Staley/Iupati/M Martin/Boone/Davis

Boone/Thomas/Kilgore/Looney/J Martin
You. Can. Never. Have. Enough. Oline.

BEEF UP THE LINE.
CB
D-Line
O-Line
WR
RB
TE
QB

In that order.

CB hasn't been a issue this year, no need to spend a 1st on that....WR,DL, and OL in that order.

Agree unless they get a shot at a shut down CB. That's not likely but they will be in a better draft position unless they win out and win the SB! Hope we draft last!

Lol I'm cool with drafting last! But yes SF has a ton of young talented CBs and I hope they resign Cox
If Gurley is there for us he should be the pick. Why would anyone not draft the best prospect in the draft. Especially when RB is the life blood of our offense.
