Here are my thoughts so far on the draft:
Ward: C - Has played ok, but not great. This is not a Reid pick like last year that will go to the Pro Bowl. Drafting a CB might have been a better option, but Cox has made up for that in a big way.
But I would give him the same grade, perhaps even a B-/C+ because he was improving from game to game imho.
Hyde A - Hunter and LMJ gone? Fantastic pick. Personally, I thought the pick was unnecessary at the time. That is why you are not a GM
just kidding
a run-heavy franchise with an aging #1-RB and a question mark behind him not picking at least another RB? won't happen. Though, I was surprised that we picked one in round 2 and not a little bit later.
I would give him a B because he still has to learn how to pass protect.
Martin C - We definitely need him, but so far he isn't playing that great imo. Center to QB exchange is problematic.think the same
Borland A - Definitely needed him this year, and he has been playing at an elite level except for his tendency to gamble.think the same.
Lynch A - This pick may still end up failing if he has locker room or off the field issues, however we needed a pash rush this year, and a 1 year wonder 5th round pick is worth it.think almost the same. My grade is based on what happened so far. Don't care about future problems (with late-rounders in particular).
Dontae A - Productive late round player.same here. Could have taken over for Cully, if the latter one would still suck and if Ward were still healthy. Cannot not say any bad think about him. during his limited playing time at CB, he was solid. Slot CB seems to be a strength since he has taken over.
He could arise to a huge steal of the last draft.
