Good point and something that really needs to be seriously considered.
The projections that we see on draft sites are not the work of NFL front offices; their value is limited.

It'll turn out that Purifoy was just a really bad influence and Roberson becomes an All-Pro without him around.

Not sure what the deal was with Jeffcoat not being drafted after coming off an outstanding season. I know there were some similar questions about how well his abilities would transfer to the next level, similar to Sam. I'm guessing there were also some medical red flags in there somewhere.

Some consistency issues with Jeffcoat as well, despite the stat line. He's a tweener, liability against the run. He certainly doesn't lack athleticism, his combine numbers were pretty good. I think he got labeled as an undersized, one-trick pony pass rusher.
