30 WR KELVIN BENJAMIN- 6'5, 240 lbs FLORIDA STATE - Finally we get the big bodied red zone threat we have needed for years. Very raw, but his catch radius and physicality are special. 56 CB LAMARCUS JOYNER- 5'8, 195lbs FLORIDA STATE - I like him as a Tyrann Mathieu hybrid type player. He plays much bigger than his size and could be our nickle corner of the future. 61 TE AUSTIN SEFERIAN-JENKINS- 6'6, 265 WASHINGTON - I know we took McDonald last year and he promises to be solid. But I truly believe ASJ is an elite talent who has been hampered only recently by injuries. He is a Gronk clone. Harbaugh loves his tight ends so why not have 3 legitimate options? ASJ would one day take over full-time for VD but until then he would be an enormous threat while on the field with VD. 77 S DION BAILEY- 6'0, 201 USC - I really like this guy. Because Fangio's system requires the S position to be interchangeable, why not pick up a guy who seems like he can play both? He's strong and physical and can play man coverage. He's played close to the line of scrimmage and almost seems like a hybrid linebacker out there. 94 WR CODY LATIMER- 6'2, 217 lbs INDIANA - I don't think he's just a workout warrior/hype machine. Watch some highlights, the dude is a baller. Great size/speed and also production. The guy plays like a taller, faster Anquan Boldin. I would be pumped if we could pick up 2 future #1 receivers in the draft with the uncertainty of Crabtree. 100 DE WILL CLARKE- 6'6, 270lbs WEST VIRGINIA - Intriguing prospect. Huge (6-6, 270) and athletic. Ideal 3-4 OLB measurables Showed up well at the Senior Bowl. I like him as a future edge setter/productive pass rusher (but not elite). 129 QB LOGAN THOMAS- 6'6, 260lbs VIRGINIA TECH - Has every tool you could ever want. Seemed to regress in the latter part of his career at VT. But still, the upside is almost on a Cam Newton level. Would come into an ideal situation here (no pressure, excellent coaching). If nothing else, we could develop him and get a decent return on investment. 170 CB PHILLIP GAINES- 6'0, 195 lbs RICE - More CB depth. Pretty good size at 6-0 195. Very explosive and has long arms (Baalke boner). Has the potential to be a future starter. 242 OT JUSTIN BRITT- 6'6, 325 lbs MISSOURI - Swing tackle of the future. Good size, long arms, has experience at both tackle spots and can contribute immediately to jumbo packages. 243 DE LARRY WEBSTER- 6'6, 252 lbs. BLOOMSBURG - POTENTIAL POTENTIAL POTENTIAL. Former basketball player that lit it up when he switched over to the gridiron. Explosive athlete with great size and production (albeit small school). 245 S SEAN PARKER- 5'10, 195 WASHINGTON - Won't blow anyone away in a workout, but is a solid depth player. Watched him play a lot and he is a vicious hitter who is best near the line of scrimmage. Not the biggest guy and is sometimes too aggressive, but that is the recipe for a great ST player

Neither Gaines nor Latimer are going to fall that far. The Fanspeak mock drafts are getting a little ridiculous now.

Well in about two weeks we will see if Baalke agrees with you. Looks like you covered the bases. My primary concern is the size of Joyner. Otherwise you have some good players on this list. Latimer might be a little low in the draft position but if we can get him that would be great.

Whatever "big boards" they are using are so out of whack. Not even close to reality after pro days and private workouts.

I like it, but Latimer wont be there.

I dont like the ASJ pick, it is kind of a waste imo. V-Mac will be a very good TE. Taking a TE in the 2nd round consecutive years seems silly especially with an All-Pro already on the roster.

Vernon won't be around forever. ASJ has an infinitely more amount of potential than McDonald. They could make a great pair some day

The thing that bothers me about Benjamin is he had one big year at Fla St...I get his height, reach, etc. but for me, Matthews and Adams have a lot more consistency.

If Baalke takes a Verrett or Joyner, I'd think he'd follow that up with a long-armed CB like Desir or McGill. Gaines is coming off an injury and isn't strong vs the run.

Not sure about taking another TE...between Vernon and VMac, there'll only be so many TE targets. Harbaugh's said it repeatedly...players tend to make the biggest strides between their rookie and 2nd years. I'd opt for a LB maybe like Marcus Smith or one of the top ILB's.

I think it makes sense to try to upgrade Celek. But I don't want to spend an early pick at the position.

That's blind thinking. Vernon is only 30. Has at least 5 more years. Which means ASJ has served out his rookie contract and will be playing somewhere else for more $. Look for a replacement for VD a year before you think he's done or the year he leaves.
