That would give the 49ers CB Gilbert/Denard, still would have #61,#77,#100,#129,#170,#242,#243,#245

We'd still be able to snatch a WR Prospect,DE Prospect,Guard/Center Prospect,Safety Prospect.

I Just feel that Denard or Gilbert would FIT right in and start immediately.

Its all about the trade offs. I think guys like Fuller, Roby, and Verrett would contribute just as much as Dennard and Gilbert.
But in this system you would lose our other picks, limiting other players chances to come in and make a difference. Its a solid idea, I just don't know if I would want to throw away draft picks for a draft this deep.

This year is strange because there isn't much difference talent wise between 1-10 rankings in most positions this year.
So this would have been smart maybe last year? Or next year? But not this year,

who knows I've also been wrong before.

Good. Hopefully, that pushes a top WR or Tuitt down to us.

Do you really believe in the statements below? Because that is essentially what people are saying if they think we can't use multiple draft picks.

QB - "Oh God no, we can't lose McCoy!"
FB - "Stop it. Tukuafu is essential to the team."
2 WR - "Please no, what will we do without Baldwin and Osgood?"
TE - "Celek can't be cut, he is a monster."
G - "Are you loony? We can't cut Looney!"
C - "Kilgore is the answer at center, he has proven this over many years of not seeing the field."

3 CB - "Wright, Morris, and Cox cannot leave this team. They are the cornerstones of our defense"
SS - "Doh! We can't lose Dahl!"
FS - "Spillman must remain on the team, for the love of Pete."
DE - "NO! Not Dobbs, anyone but Dobbs!"
2 MLB - "Moody and Wilhoite are essential and cannot be replaced."

15 spots available.

Ah dude don't bash on my dude Tukuafa!
He was a beast in the playoffs!

Beast is used to loosely in the zone...

100% agree.

I do not know much about McShay, but

Scouts Inc.'s Todd McShay has dropped Oklahoma State CB Justin Gilbert from the No. 11 overall prospect to No. 24.

"Gilbert can be inconsistent at times when it comes to his focus and is a little tight when he turns and runs, and I don't think he's deserving of an early first-round pick," McShay writes. Few are focusing on the tightness McShay mentioned, and it is apparent when receivers cross Gilbert's face. The corner does have great athleticism and ball skills, however.

I understand what you're going with here man but let's be realistic.

FB: Miller is returning, we will not carry 2 unless the 2nd is a FB/TE hybrid type of player
TE: Agree we could upgrade the #3 guy but Celek isn't bad
WR: Baldwins spot is def up in the air, Osgood however is one of the best ST players n the NFL, he's cheap, extremely good chance he stays
G: Yes we can upgrade the depth
C: Kilgore just got an extension, he's our starter period
CB/SS/FS: Agree mostly but Spillman is staying due to STs and Dahl is likely to stay also for the same reason
ILB: Moody is a 2nd year player, doubt we just give up on him. Wilholte played really well with Willis out last year, he knows our system, would be a starter on a lot of teams, is a cheap vet, he's staying. I'm sure we add some depth/competition with Bowman likely to miss time but it's highly unlikely Moody or Wilholte lose their spots.

You see 15 spots, I see 7 maybe 8.

The point is, why replace second string guys with similarly-talented guys? The team gets no better that way. With the talent already here, I think the best way to improve the team is to find ready starters. For the Niners that's CB and WR. Bundling draft picks, even players from other positions, is the best way to achieve that.
For those who think Baalke should bundle 3-4 picks to get Sammy Watkins, I'd suggest you look at Atlanta. They gave away "the farm" to get Julio Jones...he's a great WR, but look what's happened to their team in part because they gave away so much and their defense fell apart. No thanks.

Atlanta already had holes. The Niners' only holes are starting positions at WR and CB.

That is not what is being suggested.

There are plenty of starters that potentially need to be replaced in the next few years:
Boldin, Crabtree, Iupati, Dorsey, are a few of the notable starters that need to be replaced in the next few years. But the question was whether we even have ROOM to fit potential STARTER replacements on the team. I am saying that those potential replacements can fit on the team as backups for now.
And if they are not starter quality, it never hurts to upgrade your depth.

The draft should not be about plugging holes. It should be about adding as much talent as possible to your team, for both immediate and future benefit.

They would be SO much better if they kept all those picks they gave away.

The only holes right now are WR and CB. What about when Kap gets a raise? Crabtree? Aldon? We're going to need multiple cheap, productive players on rookie contracts to supplement those big contracts. Bundling numerous valuable picks to get Watkins will almost certainly create holes eventually.
