Do you really believe in the statements below? Because that is essentially what people are saying if they think we can't use multiple draft picks.

QB - "Oh God no, we can't lose McCoy!"
FB - "Stop it. Tukuafu is essential to the team."
2 WR - "Please no, what will we do without Baldwin and Osgood?"
TE - "Celek can't be cut, he is a monster."
G - "Are you loony? We can't cut Looney!"
C - "Kilgore is the answer at center, he has proven this over many years of not seeing the field."

3 CB - "Wright, Morris, and Cox cannot leave this team. They are the cornerstones of our defense"
SS - "Doh! We can't lose Dahl!"
FS - "Spillman must remain on the team, for the love of Pete."
DE - "NO! Not Dobbs, anyone but Dobbs!"
2 MLB - "Moody and Wilhoite are essential and cannot be replaced."

15 spots available.

Ah dude don't bash on my dude Tukuafa!
He was a beast in the playoffs!

Beast is used to loosely in the zone...

I agree, but he can still be replaced with a draft pick. He was a beast blocker, but we also need our FB's to catch and run with the football.
Can't believe so many of you want to stay at 30 even tho we have so many picks. Moving up for Gilbert is definitely a great move.

Rather stay put and draft Varrett or Fuller. Trading up for Gilbert would cost too much.

Only if you think he's a legitimate #1 NFL CB which I don't. The difference between someone like Fuller and Gilbert IMO is not worth giving up a 3rd round pick and more in a loaded draft.

Some feel Dennard is the best CB in this draft, anyways. He'd be more realistic to trade up for. He could be had in the late teens, where Gilbert is slated to go in the top 10.

I understand people wanting to trade up for a special talent bu it always seems funny to me that some think we have too many draft picks. They want to package them together because they can't make the team anyway. The 7th rd picks might have a problem but if we draft well we have spots available for all 8 of our picks through the 1st five rounds. There is a lot of talent in this draft and having extra picks is a blessing.

I understand what you're going with here man but let's be realistic.

FB: Miller is returning, we will not carry 2 unless the 2nd is a FB/TE hybrid type of player
TE: Agree we could upgrade the #3 guy but Celek isn't bad
WR: Baldwins spot is def up in the air, Osgood however is one of the best ST players n the NFL, he's cheap, extremely good chance he stays
G: Yes we can upgrade the depth
C: Kilgore just got an extension, he's our starter period
CB/SS/FS: Agree mostly but Spillman is staying due to STs and Dahl is likely to stay also for the same reason
ILB: Moody is a 2nd year player, doubt we just give up on him. Wilholte played really well with Willis out last year, he knows our system, would be a starter on a lot of teams, is a cheap vet, he's staying. I'm sure we add some depth/competition with Bowman likely to miss time but it's highly unlikely Moody or Wilholte lose their spots.

You see 15 spots, I see 7 maybe 8.
Only guy I wanna move up that far for is WR Sammy Watkins
I think it's a horrible idea...sorry, man, but there's absolutely no reason to give up 3 picks in a draft that's so deep in CB's. Baalke just won't do that. If anything, he might trade out of the #30 spot to pick up another 2nd rounder...with 3 picks in rds 2 & 3, he'd have all the flexibility in the world to trade & get some great talent.
I think Fuller is good enough where trading so much to move up is kind of a bad idea.

I was just thinking about trading with Titans to get Gilbert who can be a starting cb and returner the 49ers need badly. But I think with this draft being deep the 49ers will probably trade with chiefs at 23 and get the cb they want or wr they want.

This is why I believe they will trade with chiefs at 23 to get fuller!

This is the guy trading away multiple picks in a deep draft might makes sense.
