I want a high 3rd this year and possible something for next year as well. I dont want to drop that pick completely, we need help now.

I want a second and third this year, but not from a team that near the other end of the spectrum that it warrant another pick from next year. Then maybe use that third and the later picks to push that pick into back into the 2nd. So that we will have 3 2nd rounders. and the 3rd to come. We are in the drivers seat.

Yeah, I just heard this on espn. Our position is looking mighty good.

You won't get a high 3rd in return for trading down 7 or 8 spots in the 2nd.....if Baalke pulled that off, they should just stop f**king around give him Executive of the Year right now. A very high 4th however, is not out of the question. 49ers could take the Jets early 4th and 5th rounders, or even better yet, Oakland's early 4th and 5th rounders and use those picks to move back up into the 3rd.

I would ask Oakland for their 4th, 5th and 6th rounders to move up.

What about throwing in a 5th?

Why do you have to make things so f**king complicated

Of course you are right, if the 49ers did some sort of a combo deal, then yes they could acquire an early 3rd that way. Based on the draft value chart, at least the old one, here's a possibility with the New York Jets.

49ers trade away their 2nd rounder(34), their 4th rounder(128) and their 5th(157)=560 points+44 points+28 points=632 points

Jets trade away their 2nd rounder(39) and their 3rd rounder(72)=510 points+230 points=740 points

Jets fall short of the value chart by quite a bit, but once again, for a potential franchise QB, you're going to overpay.

Hopefully the Jags take a QB or Cyprien or something. I want Johnthan Banks with 34!
True but you throw that out the window when it is a QB or someone they really want. Wasn't some ridiculous trade for Kevin Winlsow II with the Lions and Browns?

Taking Banks would make my mock draft look better! I'm all for it...

Jacksonville has no plans to trade its pick. Jaguars want their player too much. Look for pick to be a DB.
Mathieu failed at least 10 drug tests
Dude had 16 picks in his collegiate career! And he's big.

Would love to see this.
Starts in 10 minutes HOLY SHT how did it get here so fast.
In all reality, the Jags shouldn't take a QB. They can just continue to do what they do and end up right in the middle of a better crop next draft. I can dream though.

I've been a big fan of Banks for awhile but he's been mocked to Jacksonville for a long time and with Gus Bradley there, I have a feeling its going to happen. They'll be getting a steal too, I predict that 5 years from now, Banks will be the 1st or 2nd best CB to emerge from this draft.
