Just as we have a prospect thread I thought it would be a good idea to post every game we have scouts at so we have a decent idea of what schools were personally taking a look at. I'm stealing the links from NinersNation.com but at least it'll be easier to see all the links here in 1 place.

BOLD = Notable game
* = multiple games scouting this shool

Week 1: We sent scouts to 10 games in week 1.
http://www.ninersnation.com/2012/9/1/3284907/2013-nfl-draft-49ers-week-1-scouting-trips

Elon at North Carolina

Wake Forest at Florida State
California at Ohio State

**USC at Stanford***
Note: We've now sent scouts to 2 VaTech games - Could we be checking out James Gayle? Or Marcus Davis 6'4" 230 WR?

Week 4: 3 games

Week 13
Utah @ Colorado
Note:
3rd Colorado - TE Nick Kasa and ILB Doug Rippy
2nd Utah game - Wishful thinking but WR Reggie Dunn scored his 5th career(4th this season) 100+ Yard KR TD yesterday. Projected UDFA but maybe we take a flyer on him with the Bengals 7th rounder? Also CB Ryan Lacy and the Kruger brothers at DT and DE. Then maybe we go all Falcons and trade into the top 5 for Lotulelei??? not going to happen but a Ute fan could hope....

Week 14
Oklahoma @ TCU
3rd Oklahoma game

--------------

I'll try and update the links from NN -- maybe this will give us Armchair GMs a chance to establish a pattern of who we are scouting.

Overall takeaways

3 USC games all after the pre-grame warmups from the 1st visit that featured GM Baalke and DOPP Gamble watch the WRs from the sidelines during drills.

4 CAL games - Keenan Allen???

4 UNC Games

5 VaTech games

I think it is safe to say that we have an official "wish list" or Big Board as the draftniks say, of players from these 4 schools.

Good to see which games our scouts are at during the season.

Yep -- I'm trying to go through the list of prospects that NN provides to see who is even draft eligible, or a real prospect at all. They have some sophomores listed for Gods sake. Something I've noticed, whether its a coincidence or not, a lot of the teams have 6-2 to 6-4 220 pound receivers, 220+ pound power backs, and tons of DT and OLB talent.

DB talent and TE is a little hard to gauge with only a few names jumping out at me.
Who's on Iowa that we could possible want? We all thought blaine gabbert, surpise we drafted aldon, lol who could we be looking at?

I wont pretend to know but since we only went to 1 game we might have been looking at the defensive personel from both teams -- they've got Micah Hyde the supposed #4 or 5 CB according to scouts inc among others.

1. CB Micah Hyde (6-1, 190)
2. WR Keenan Davis (6-3, 215)
3. C James Ferentz (6-2, 285)
4. TE C.J. Fiedorowicz (6-7, 265) *

Others to keep an eye on:
OG Matt Tobin (6-6, 290)
OLB Christian Kirksey (6-2, 220) *
FS Tanner Miller (6-2, 200) *
MLB James Morris (6-2, 230) *

as an Iowa fan I laugh at this post, Micah Hyde is the only one listed who has shown NFL level talent, but just barely lol

Maybe a scout is having an affair with someone in Iowa??

we're trying to turn their 4th string qb into a gunner on the punt team

Scouts could be looking at underclassmen for future drafts as well.

bump
At the Purdue game, the scouts should keep there eyes on Kawann Short (obviously) but both CBs are studs; Josh Johnson and Ricardo Allen. Others to keep an eye on are WR Antavian Edison and C Rick Schmeig. Another guy to keep an eye on is TE Crosby Wright.

Marshall's main prospect WR Aaron Dobson is another but he has been quiet today. But the game I'm most interested in is the VTech game, 3 games in 5 weeks??? I really want to know who we are so interested in.....DE/OLB Justin Gayle? WR Marcus Davis? there are a lot of others too.

Yeah Dobson hasn't done much. Marshall is only throwing to Shuler it seems.
