OTC's Round-by-round Target Grid

Let me explain what this is. This is basically the players that I believe would be good fits here, and these are SOME of the players I feel the 49ers should or will likely target in the draft (although if I feel very strongly the 49ers should NOT take them, I will not include them in my target grid). 1st rounders are only players we have a reasonable shot at. Awesome post OTC, I agree with a lot of your projections. But I do think these guys:

S Neiko Thorpe, Auburn S Sean Richardson, Vanderbilt S Tony Dye, UCLA S Winston Guy, Kentucky S Brandon Taylor, LSU

Will go much higher than the 7th round.
How did Criner become a lte 6th round prospect?
Dam I'm gonna contradict myself for what i just said in mr brockalexander thread about d line. But as much as I think they need to go WR. I can't front I wouldn't be mad at all about picking. Jerel Worthy, Dontrari Poe, or Courtney Upshaw. Especially Poe.

I really like Casey Hayward or Aaron Henry in the 3rd round.

nice thread

He is a slower possession receiver who has battled injuries and is viewed as a player who had inflated numbers by the system he was in. He was graded a little higher until underclassmen started declaring. With 1st-3rd round guys like Blackmon, Sanu, Jefferey, Streeter, Hill, and Chris Givens declaring, this has pushed Criner from a late 4th, down into the 6th round. There are about 20-25 receivers rated higher than him right now.
Good job OTC. How about some more TEs? You only list one. Harbaugh loves TEs and we could use a taller one like the Pat's Gronkowski, or Jimmy Graham of the Saints, for red zone jump balls.

list of TE
One guy I'm high on in Bruce Irvin. This draft lacks pass-rushers and he is one of the best of the group. I think he will have a great combine and fly up draft boards. He played out of position this year which hurt his numbers quite a bit. It will be interesting to see how he does in 1on1 drills.

I think he is a guy who will rise up draft boards, and make his way into the first.
OTC, did Stephen Hill of GT declare? I know he sent his paperwork into the advisory board, but hadn't heard if he declared.

That guy is a physical freak. 6'4-6'5 area, can leap, has good speed, can block, and make amazing catches. If he declared, he hands down becomes my favorite attainable WR. He had Calvin Johnson comparisons when he arrived at GT, and this year put it together to have a good year. His stats aren't eye-popping, but he also plays in a run-option offense.

Great list, OTC. I appreciate you taking the time to post this.

The players in bold are some of my favorites. Here are some of my comments though:

- IMO, Markelle Martin is probably an early to mid 2nd round prospect. By the time we pick in the 2nd, he'll probably be gone, so I would understand if we took a reach with our 1st round pick to select him.
- Casey Hayward will shoot up draft boards after the offseason. I really think he's that good. He'll be this year's Jimmy Smith as far as his stock skyrocketing. I can see him being a 2nd round selection.

I agree, Hayward is a frickin ballhawk (15 picks in 3 years ), unless he runs a poor 40, I don't see him falling outta the first day of the draft.
what about ladarius green, the 6-6 te who plays like a receiver from lousiana lafayette---looked great in bowl game vs san diego state
No running backs? I think we need a RB and another QB as well. But thanks for the list and the rounds.

A possible late round back that I'm looking at is Jeremy Stewart out of Stanford.
