And the webzone loved guys like Hill, Randle, Janoris Jenkins, Konz, and Cordy Glenn and all those guys are still available just like Fleener.

I don't
he's another greg olson like that dude said ^^
Id rather draft a defensive player for the future, we could use another D lineman in our rotation and even though he came off his best season, Justin smith is getting up there in age. I also wouldn't mind drafting a cornerback
A guard or a WR would also be nice
We have 2 good young tes, one who is top 3 in the league, no need to draft one yet, especially in the 1st round
1. Bears fans were pissed that they let Olsen go... Martz doesn't use the TE's right and Olsen has potential.
2. You are using the Olsen thing like it's a knock on Fleener... we have no idea how good Fleener could be. Greg Olsens best season was 60 rec. for 612 yards and 8 TD's. D. walkers is 29 rec. for 331 yards and ZERO TD's
...and Walker has been in the league one more year.
3. so if you are trying to say adding Fleener is like adding Olsen as a 2nd TE, than our TE's last year would have got us around 110-120 rec. for roughly 1300-1400 yards and most importantly 14+ TD's. I believe these numbers would actually be higher because the 2 good TE's on the field would compliment each other and confuse the Defense which would lead to more yards and more TD's.
4. The numbers are just an estimation but I would want something like this on our team.
5. Go ahead and start comparing him to Anthony Fasono and lets see if that one sticks as well...
Hey, people like me were off on the player, but right on the position. I predicted a WR in the 1st and we got it. I thought Jenkins was a bit small. But I trust JH. But I never thought we needed a TE in the 1st.

You guys have so much invested in Fleener. I can't imagine what happen if Baalke just don't think the same. I almost think I might root for the pick along with you just so you guys won't accidentally slit your wrists if the pick doesn't happened.
I can't even imagine at this point what happens if he is on the board at #30 and we don't pick him...
Something similar to what happened last year when Gabbert was on the board and we passed on him. Fleener is a super over-rated prospect on this board.
We were never going to draft him at 30. Thank you Harbaugh...!!!!

We will go OL or DL in 2nd. I hope many of the receivers go off the board early in 2nd - so we can land an impact player on the lines.

Colts have so many holes to fill, i doubt that they will take Fleener. OL,RB, this is going to be a totally different offence than the one with Peyton.

Pretty much. These two wont skip a beat, this could be the new Manning to Harrison combo for years to come at the Colts. It would be a 'oh wow' moment if the Colts dont pick up Fleener.

Interesting that Fleener was a huge reach at #30, but he is the no-brainer pick at #34

It's Aldon Smith all over again.

I'm not backing off on anything I've stated earlier on why he would fit this offense. Still would like to have him and it's still not out of the question. Honestly, I'd like to see another big play TE period; And this wish is based off of me watching Stanford in 2010, not New England in 2011. Some think that Delanie or even Nate Byham would be able to fill that role just fine, but I don't see either bringing to the table the skils a player like Fleener would. Can't see how adding another big play threat with a guy that would probably play 50% or more of the offensive snaps would be considered a luxury. I see both he and Vernon getting anywhere between 600-1000 yards each in this offense.
Either way, I'm surprised, but not upset with the pick of AJ Jenkins, because we needed a receiver at some point. Now the focus can shift to OL, S, OLB, and maybe we still get that TE .

You can't block at TE, you are not going to play for the Niners.

Walker couldn't block for a couple of years
