After much pain and agony, here is my final board for the year. At least I can finally get some sleep. This is not a full 7-round mock draft, since there will be a complete reshuffling of the draft order once things get under way. It is more a projected area where players will land during the draft (although I have cheated for the Niners and projected players of need and value in their slot...as if they will keep all 12 picks...unlikely)

The first round is intended to look like a draft, with some projected trades putting players in seemingly odd spots with the current team at that pick.

The Niners' picks are in bold. I think they will target these areas in the draft. Questions, concerns, anger, sadness, I will take all your comments and do my best to answer.

Cheers.

Guarantee that Bilal Powell turns to be one of the best RBs in this draft - would love to get him, but with the way this draft is going, we'd probably take owen marecic over him because he is intelligent.

Yes he does, I would have thought he was responding to some other thread if he hadn't quoted it.
This labor deal has been a horrid creation of both owners and players. on how to divvy up $9 BILLION. and has caused a real serious problem where teams with NO Qb are screwed, especially when after being drafted , they can't even look at a playbook...can't work with receivers, and then are thrown into the nfl. It makes Alex smith type QBs(2nd tier) a whole lot more palatable, and as MD says, that will give most 9er fans heartburn. I suspect even tho JH and baalke liked our LV Qb, they felt even more compelled to pick him earlier than they would have liked to, with the lockout sitting like a pink elephant in the middle of the room. Huge advantage to teams with qbs who know the system already, and alex does. Think of huge disadvantage to teams with 1st rd qBs who can't even get their hands on a playbook( but they probably will sneak one anyway). Come start of season i would much rather be in our shoes than a lot of other teams. I liked gabbert but glad we passed on him. When labor issue reappeared, i actually believe it put more pressure on JH to go QB instead of waiting later.
