Peterson needs to be our pick at #7

putting all your hopes into that is lame, it's a complete longshot and there are other great options.

putting all our hopes? I'm simply stating that if it were between quinn and peterson we need to go with peterson.

that's not what you said.....at all.

actually I did but thanks for playing.

no, you didn't, thx for failing. Your quote is freaking right there.

wtf?

I'll play judge here.

Backontop did not indicate that his hopes were up on Peterson being there, though binary wrongly assumed.

But backontop was not clear that he meant if Peterson and Quinn are available that the obvious choice is PP. Though it could be assumed that it's what he meant since he posted it in this thread.

With that said, you're both guilty.

Wrong. If he would've phrased that he "preferred" Peterson in some way, shape, or form, then you'd be on to something. However, he basically said that "Peterson needs to be the pick," nothing else. By saying that, it's safe to assume (very safe, I might add) that he is implying that he feels Peterson NEEDS to be the pick. Not only that, he even stated the # of our pick, which implies it even further..it's pretty clear, "Peterson needs to be the pick at #7." He messed up, I get it now of course, but I ain't guilty of anything. I simply replied (correctly, I might add) to a statement he made, a statement which was abrupt and ridiculous.

YOU LIE!!!!!!

Its a thread about Robert Quinn, If I am saying that we should draft Peterson then you should be smart enough to realize that it means Peterson over Quinn.

Thats how I read it originally.
I'm not worried about Quinn being able the drop back as a 3-4 OLB. I can't remember if it was Fangio or Baalke, but they said their primary concern is finding a guy who can get after the QB. Quinn offers that ability. I like the D. Ware comparison! IMO, if Quinn is there at #7 (and I think he will be) you turn in that card quickly and make the pick. I think he's an instant impact player.

I couldn't agree more except if Peterson or maybe AJGreen are there, if not we have to take Quinn. I really don't know why people are saying he can't be a 3-4 outside linebacker. He is exactly that, This guy is going to be special. Take him at seven.

So if it comes down to Quinn or Prince, are most in agreement that it should be Quinn? That's probably gonna be our two choices at #7 I'm guessing.

In that scenario, I think you have to go with the pass rusher first.

I started this thread, and obviously I really like Robert Quinn, but Peterson is the best player in this draft and I'll take Peterson easily, won't even wait and turn in my card.

That' great and everything but Prince is not Peterson.

Thank you for the link!

Quinn scares me a bit but his ability is just too great to pass on. The tumor is my main concern, but that's for the docs to determine. His losing a year doesn't concern me because we wouldn't have a shot at him if he had played last year as he would be a top three pick.

The greatest need the 9ers have missed over the past...ten years?...is a real pass rush specialist. I really don't care if his ability to drop is a bit under Miller's, that's not why you need him. If dropping back is the concern then we already have a guy who excells in that area and many want to get rid of him! I also like the D Ware comparison.
I'd be excited if we were able to take this kid (only if Peterson is off the board). People worry so much about him being able to drop back into coverage, but it's not like he's going to be doing it often. D.Ware had the same negatives coming out of Troy, and he still barely drops back.

It's going to be between Quinn and Prince, and I'd be extremely happy with both, but Quinn would be my first choice.
