I know, we need it that..

i think the only way we get spiller is if haden is already gone which i have seen in some drafts, i think we go haden and OT in the first round, but if the top tackles are gone or haden is gone i think we get spiller, but it all depends on how free agency goes

No way we take a RB in the first round. Too many other needs.

I agree

RB is the least of our worries

You can't think of it in terms of position (that's sort of an old way of looking at the draft)...think of it in terms of adding warp speed and playmaking ability for both our offense and special teams. Spiller could eventually be a feature back, but in the meantime, he's a home run threat as kick/punt returner, possible slot WR or 3rd down back out of the spread formation.

Not saying he's the only guy in this draft that can be this, but he's probably the best.

I'd rather get a speedy reciever than clutter the running back position.

It's really not though. So many people are preaching BPA but there's more to it than that. Each team has their own board. A team with Peyton Manning will not have a QB at the top of their draft board no matter how good they are.

Also we've needed RT and pass rusher for how many years now? How long can we ignore those needs to select players at positions where we already have pro bowlers at? Sure Spiller would be a good addition for the team but his biggest contribution would be in the return game. Not many return guys you would draft in the middle of the first round.

You can grab a guy in the 2nd round or later who could actually play at a different position and also help in the return game. A receiver or corner who can return would be much more valuable to this team since we already have Gore.

I say Robinson goes after this season. CJ Spiller would be a dynamic addition.
Got a couple of new Spiller videos from youtube:

As much as I like Spiller and him being my favorite player in the draft, I dont see us getting him due to the fact he will be long gone after he runs that 40 at the combine. The guy is also a track star and is probally going to bump up his draft stock when he runs the 40. He will probally be a top 8 pick.
Do you wanna get a tackle who is hit or miss or get Spiller who is a sure impact player, DAY 1?
