Round 1-Roquan Smith-6'2", 225-ILB-Georgia
In a year with few elite prospects, Smith is quite tantalizing. Every bit the prospect that Reuben Foster was, better in coverage and without the injury issues, in this scheme he is a perfect fit as a weakside linebacker. Would be a starter from Day 1 and he and Foster would have the potential to be one of the scariest LB duo's in football. Smith comes with top notch instincts and many similarities to Bobby Wagner of the Seahawks. The 49ers defense would have two missiles constantly flying towards the ball and wreaking absolute havoc in the intermediate area of the field. Smith's abilities in coverage are what truly make him special. He can hold his own with RB's, TE's and slot receivers, very dependable player with superb natural football instincts.
Round 2(New Orleans Saints)-Braden Smith-6'5", 310-OG/OT-Auburn
To get Smith, the 49ers would likely have to move up in the 2nd. I am half expecting Garnett to get moved in a trade which would make this pick possible. Beyond Quinton Nelson he is my favorite guard in the draft and arguably a better fit for the blocking scheme. He's an experienced starter with the length and quick feet of a tackle but with the power to play inside. A technician with excellent footwork and a mean streak a mile wide, he'd be an instant starter on this OL at right guard and has the potential to be a Pro Bowl level player in the NFL. Also possesses the ability to play tackle in a pinch if needed.
Round 3-Marcus Davenport-6'6", 245-DE-University of Texas-San Antonio

Davenport is a smaller school defensive end with outstanding traits to be a high quality pass rusher at the NFL level. Explosiveness, outstanding length and a nonstop motor have helped him thrive at UTSA. He's still largely a project that needs to develop a greater array of pass rushing moves but the potential is tremendous and he could very well go higher than this point in the draft.
Round 3(Chicago Bears)-Wyatt Teller-6'5", 300-OG-Virginia Tech

I'm shocked that he's still flying under the radar so much for a guy who has played so excellently. Teller is a former defensive end/tackle turned guard who has consistently been improving throughout his time at Virginia Tech. Super athletic and mobile, he is the epitome of a zone blocking guard and should compete for a starting spot at left guard as a rookie. Just like Smith he plays with a mean streak and continues hitting defenders through the whistle, has particularly excelled as a pass blocker which would be welcome news for Jimmy G.
Round 4(Pittsburgh Steelers)-Jake Wieneke-6'3", 215-WR-South Dakota State
Wieneke is a very intriguing prospect. He's a big receiver with tremendous hands that has been incredibly productive throughout his college year. Terrific route runner that can be a nice red-zone target and possession receiver across the middle of the field.
Round 5(New York Jets)-Darren Carrington-6'1", 200-WR-Utah
Carrington had some major off the field issues which led to his dismissal from Oregon. He has rebounded with Utah and kept his nose clean. If everything checks out(potential issues with alcohol), he could be a steal later on in the draft. As a receiver he has many similarities to Will Fuller. A true vertical threat that simply beats defenses deep down the field consistently.
Round 6-Brandon Parker-6'7", 310-OT-North Carolina A&T

Small school tackle who has been the model of stability and has played at a high level every single year. MEAC OL of the year for 3 years straight. Good athleticism for his size, well regarded for his leadership and film study, he's an ideal developmental tackle to eventually take over at right or left tackle down the road.
Round 7-Ralph Webb-5'9", 195-RB-Vanderbilt
Ideal ZBS runner, has had an up and down season. Already owns pretty much every rushing record in Commodores history. He comes with decent size and quick burst, isn't going to blow up the Combine but could be a great fit for this scheme with his overall skillset. Has played RB and receiver, also can return kicks, good overall versatile weapon.
Round 7(Kansas City Chiefs)-Logan Woodside-6'0", 195-QB-Toledo.
I really like Woodside as a developmental QB prospect. He's not coming out of a pro style offense but the offense he runs does entail quite a few pro style concepts and puts a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. Woodside is way on the smaller side but has terrific accuracy and is tougher than a $2 dollar steak. I can see him going higher than this but if available here, he'd be great value if the 49ers were committed to holding on two 3 QB's next season. One of my favorite under the radar prospects. All he's done is produce. No real fantastic traits, just a smart, tough QB.
