Trading up for a wr yet rookies hardly play with Kyle coaching this team. That's a scary thought, just rather they trade for a proven one or sign one in FA. I have no trust and faith this team drafts the correct WR unless it's Tate whose going top 10

Trade the 1st or whatever 2nd you get for Mac Jones to jaguars for Brian Thomas Jr. Still on a rookie contract for 3 more years and he's proven to be a good wr. Jaguars don't have a 1st rd pick so they may go for that

Brian Thomas Jr is who I hope they're targeting. I think they would want a 2nd pick because he had a pretty solid rookie season. Hopefully he doesn't have a crap attitude like Aiyuk when it comes to an extension.

I'm praying somehow they end up with Thomas Jr and JAX would be open to trade him. I think he would be a constant 1000 plus wr with Kyle and Brock throwing him the ball

Makes some sense to bring in a superstar de to play opposite Bosa. Why not Sign Hendrickson to a less aav 2 yr contract and use the 44 pick to trade for a wr1? 1st rd pick would be for ol. Great draft picks with the 2 you have on here. Gennings dunker is putting on a show this week. Could fill left guard spot on day 1. Pick 44 for Brian Thomas Jr would instantly upgrade the wr room on a rookie contract. Other players that could be an instant upgrades from the raiders are Jackson Powers Johnson and Michael Mayer. Both are also on rookie deals

Good points. In a perfect world we sign Hendrickson instead of trading assets for Maxx.

And I'm super high on Dunker. He has Pro Bowl guard written all over him and would be just what we need to help our run game. Hes a nasty tone setter as well. If he can refine his technique he could be a very good OT.
#27 for Brian Thomas JR. Extending Jacobi Meyers and the emergence of Parker Washington as Lawrence's goto guy make for a crowded WR room. Hey look, Kyle doesn't have to draft WR2s and try to make them WR1s.
RE BTJ:
In 2023, Aiyuk ran a slant route on the highest percentage of drop backs, and he was highly successful specifically on these routes. Even in BTJs 2024 where he was looking like the next superstar WR, before 2025s questions about his willingness to work over the middle, BTJ was asked to run a lower percentage of slants, and was less successful on them when he did.

BTJ may not be what shanny is looking for.

Just so I'm understanding. The 49ers are now acquiring players according to what the coaches needs and wants are? I guess the old " coach to your players strengths was always a lie". Speed, youth, and saving money is out the window due to a slant route.

Where have you been? Under a rock?

Just so im understanding, were now of the opinion shanny will use first round picks to trade for 3rd year WRs that for some reason the Jags want to get rid of just for the opportunity to change up the offense?

I think if it only took a 4th round pick to acquire Brian Thomas Jr, Shanahan would do it. Same with Keon Coleman or Jordan Addison.

Not change up the offense but after how many times of trying the same thing and not meeting your goals do you try something a bit different? You're correct, KS will do the exact same thing and put slow players out there and blame them.

So am I but I hope they don't want a day 2 pick, I gotta pass. Then again if it's for a 3rd round pick I might pull the trigger. Also is he at run blocking, that's also an important factor in Shanahan's offense?
Why the hell would the Jags trade him?
Because he is disgruntled, doesn't like his targets, quit putting effort in his team?
Then why the f**k would any team give up a 1st or 2nd for him?

If he is worth the headache of bringing in for a 3rd or 4th, why would they give him up for a 3rd or a 4th with almost no cap saving

Kolohe this was not in anyway in your direction.

Thanks for pointing out your last sentence.

But there were rumors that Thomas Jr was on the block at last seasons trade deadline. I'm not sure why, but his name was connected to a couple of teams.

That's where my idea of trading for Brian Thomas Jr. comes from.

Player for player for Mac Jones or are you thinking a draft pick? Would definitely upgrade the DE position on the 49ers. Would you also consider trading for raiders players Michael Mayer ( 82.1 blocking grade) or Jackson Powers Johnson at C? Another fast wr to consider is Adonai Mitchell from the Jets
