Vikes aren't gonna trade him. Makes no financial sense to lose more 7 mil in cap space when you already have to clear 50 mil to get under.

I'd take a flyer on him. The owner just tanked any value he had so they will probably release him. Maybe do a pick swap in the later rounds. Maybe he has been humbled and hungry.

Jefferson isn't worth that much. Much rather spend money on Alec Pearce. Which I hope they do. If I'm trading a 1st it's gonna be for one of the top DT's in the NFL.

What i am trying to figure out is his cap numbers for the acquiring team.
That definitely changes how he is valued. If it puts his cap hits in the $20-$30m, he is worth a 1st over Alec Pierce whose cap hits would be near identical.
The question for the Vikings is do they want to blow it up and trade him, Greenard, Hockenson, etc for some draft capital this year and next year. It really depends on if they like Mccarthy or will move on.

One 1st round pick yes I would do it. Two 1st round picks…..hard pass. Better off sending a pick for Jordan Addison.
