Trey Hendrickson trade?

Estimated $24 million per year contract. Would you spend the money or trade for a DE that will cost about the same as?

2 years $50 million, that doesn't sound like a contract Lynch is willing to give out.

There is absolutely no way Hendrickson signs for 2yrs/$50m. He's too productive and there are too many teams who need someone with his ability to rush the passer. I'm guessing you're looking at a minimum of 3yrs/$100m w $50m+ fully guaranteed.
I love Henderson, but I'm skeptical that the 49ers are one or two big pieces away from being real Super Bowl contenders. I don't think they're as bad as 2024 but I don't necessarily think they're as good as this year's record would indicate either.
I'd rather them pursue players who are young enough to form the next core group.

I'm not expecting the 9ers to sign Henderson at all, now that Raheem Morris is the DC. If it were Robert Saleh, I'd fully expect the 9ers to be in the hunt for him. I see the 49ers going after Kaden Ellis.
