Absolutely not. It's not only the draft compensation, but the $$ we'd have to pay Hendrickson.

I'd say no also.
That's a low 2nd value on the swap +2 thirds + big $$$ for a guy who will be 31 this season. That wound be a great trade for Cincinnati it seems they have no intention of signing him anyways.
I would do the pick swap + a 6th or 7th. They are in a bind why help bail them out.
I Don't think the Niners will/would do it though, sounds like they want to stay away from big contracts for older guys and get younger.

I would have been up for it before we completely tanked our cap situation and felt we were contenders. Also this should be in nfl talk

49ers are trying to get cheaper
Trey Hendrickson will be expensive
It doesn't make sense.

Isn't he like 30 now too? I wouldn't fully be against it if the trades and price is right, but it would totally go against what they've done this offseason.

No one really knows what Hendrickson wants. So I wouldn't panic just yet.

Hes got a fully guaranteed $21m contract for 2025 and wants a pay raise. He's 31. I don't really need to know anymore than those things

Are you sure about that? I thought he had no more guaranteed money left on his current contract which is why he wants a new deal and why the Bengals want to trade him.

49ers just learned this lesson with Hargrave. Let somebody else pay the 30 year old. Build through the draft. It would be weird as hell to trade for and sign this guy.

He'll cost more than Bosa. No way he comes here and plays on his current contract.

This is getting messy. Trey is pissed he just went on a 20 min interview on how he's been given the run around going on 3 years now. Andrew Whitworth was on a podcast describing the same experience with the last year on his contract the bengals drafted two OTs in the 1st and 2nd round just like the Bengals drafted Shemar Stewart while they are supposed to be in either negotiations or trade Trey.
Everyone is pointing at Stewart for his holdout as an entitled "thinks he's better than he is" but the bengals have notoriously been known to be cheap, lack of communication, going back on their word and ownership is flat out unprofessional

All of this is true, but Bengals are also smart to not give him an extension. They should've traded him for what they could get though
